Best breakfast in Eugene. One of the most consistent restaurants in the area. Never had a bad meal or bad experience. Joy is still bringing joy to Eugene. Thank you. Go DUCKS

Can't miss the red building. Ample parking both sides of the building. Arrived a few minutes after they opened at 8am. Not many places open that early on a Sunday. There were already about 10 customers inside. Our server was đ. He checked up on us. Portions and variety of breakfast eats are great. Heapful of sliced bananas on the pancakes. The sausage in the burrito had a pleasantly mild flavor. Hashbrowns cooked perfect. Loco Moco was on point!

I was taken to Brailâs as a birthday present. I recommended it to my partner because of the great pics online and the good reviews. Even though there were many tables open when we arrived and only one table needed to be cleaned, we waited a long time. kitchen help was nudging us off to the side, we were completely forgotten, only after she said "Let's go somewhere else" and I walked up to register, the man who overheard her seated us immediately. When my breakfast came, the biscuits and gravy arrived without the side, the corned beef hash. The waiter just put the dish on the table and left without asking if things were right, and i had to catch up to him to ask where the side was. He paused briefly, looked up to the side, and said it wasn't ready. 5 minutes later they arrived, burned. Someone had forgotten them, the waiter hadn't checked the order, and then made an excuse to cover his oversight. The biscuits and gravy were cornbread muffins--Not biscuits. Not acceptable. I can say these things because I have 20 years restaurant experience from prep to Chef from family restaurants to Fisherman's Wharf. The waiter completely ignored my partner, who was paying for the whole thing, probably showering me with attention because he thought I had the money for his tip. He refilled her water when her glass was empty, although she didn't want it, and he didn't bother to ask her if she wanted more. It was room-temp water, not iced. No sooner than the glass was full, he turned his back and left. Cursory table service. We'd discussed his tip during the breakfast. We usually give a 20% tip. At first we were going to give him a 1dollar tip, or if he continued to ignore her, to leave a quarter on the table. Because he did refill her water and did ask if she was done, she decided to round up a 10% tip to 4.00. We both felt drowsy and "off" after the breakfast. I got a headache. An MSG headache. a couple of hours and a short nap later, we both felt better and talked about this and decided an honest review was due. I will not go there again, and we both agree: he deserved a quarter on the table.
Good food, good coffee, good staff, clean bathrooms. Home of the fried egg in an onion ring. Still a local delicacy in parts of Europe.
I feel like the Corn beef hash is canned. Menu says house made. I have just never had homemade corn beef that tastes and texture is canned. I asked when we left if it was canned the worker told me no.

All of my food was cold :( and the service was terrible the waiter will directly and loudly ask you for tips when youâre leaving will never go back. Also saw a cook that had a large beard picking his nose outside when I was getting into my car. Donât eat here youâll be happier anywhere else
