Great food and service
This restaurant has a great view, nice food, but we came into poor service with our waitress. Short hair, glasses, many arm tattoos, Nice enough gal, but couldn’t get a drink for 20 minutes. We watched four other groups be sat after our order was taken and they received their drinks and complementary salsa and chips ten minutes before us. We only got our salsa after asking at the same time we were ready to ask for the check. I’m someone who who has worked in the food industry for many years so I may be nitpicky. Please do better Carlita’s, I’d love to recommend.

A very nice restaurant on the rooftop of the Gordon hotel. Drinks and food were great. The short rib tostado was super good. The ahi cevichie was also very fresh and full of flavor. Definitely coming back!

I rarely if ever write reviews like this but this was one of the worst dining experiences we’ve had in a long time. As someone who has worked in the service industry, it was clear from the start that they were under water — there was only 1 server for the entire restaurant, tickets lined up across the entire pass, bartender and hostess consistently running food and bussing tables. But there was zero acknowledgment and no apology from our server, who by the end of the night seemed to simply ignore us because the rest of the place turned over and we were lost causes. Every single table around us was agitated by the wait, and many decided to bypass the server and go right to the bar for drinks, or to finally get their bill. Unfortunately the food did not make up for the terribly poor service. Our food was obviously sitting for a while, tacos were wilted and just plain sad. Our server never checked in on us, never cleared the appetizer plates, and we had to get up from the table to get her attention to get the bill. Reviews about service often make it tough to decide whether it was a one off or a real issue — this seems to be a consistent issue that needs to be addressed by management. It’s safe to say we’ll never be back and will never recommend it to anyone visiting.

I’ve been to Carlitas a few times for drinks/food; always a good experience. Greg is always the Most attentive server/bartender. With the nice weather recently, me and my son were able to eat outside with a view you can’t beat.

Well, first I'll say the view from the patio is great, we were there on a nice day and you can see for quite a while. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We got there early, not long after they opened, for happy hour drinks and tacos. Drinks and food came out fairly quickly at that point. The margarita was a bit smaller than expected, and I don't think it was smaller for happy hour. And I understand they recently changed the house Tequila, it is no longer 100% agave tequila which is disappointing for the price. The tacos were great, but over five bucks each at happy hour price, I would think it should be a dollar or two less, but I know all food is expensive now. We ordered more drinks, and it had gotten more busy, and they took quite a while to come out...similar complaint as other reviews. What we were thinking would be some tacos in a couple drinks still ended up being about $80. So mixed feelings, scenery was great, people were great, just a bit spendy.

Try this place, we almost didn't go here because of the reviews, but we are damn sure glad we did give them a chance! Great everything, and by far best appetizer skillet ever! Thanks for the photo bomb!

We went around 4pm on 4/15 hoping to snag some drinks and happy hour. We were seated promptly and offered water right away but unfortunately it was not long after that we could not get anyone to take our order and ask if there was anything else we needed. The restaurant was not that busy (they open at 4pm) and there was a lot of staff just waiting around chatting amongst themselves. It felt like we were bothering them when we did ask for something. I don’t recommend this place but it is a pretty restaurant with a great view. Might be nice if you just want a place to take some nice pictures of the town.

Lovely dinner at Carlita's out on the patio. Great food and drinks and great waiter (Greg), even though it was super busy. Fun night out!

We came in close to closing, and Greg waited on us cheerfully and professionally. It was so nice after finishing a 10 hour drive to the hotel. The food and margaritas were great, and I really loved the homemade salsa!
