The food, hot sauces, drinks, and service at Carlita’s used to be incredible! I especially appreciated the quality of their ingredients — everything tasted fresh and intentional. But nothing beats the atmosphere of sitting on the rooftop. I truly loved this place; my partner and I used to go a couple times a week.
I can’t eat gluten, and to my absolute delight, everything used to be gluten-free. Then, one day… somebody decided to add gluten to a couple of their recipes — specifically the mole dishes, MY FAVORITE!
To whoever made this decision: I WILL NEVER FORGIVE YOU FOR MY DEVASTATING LOSS!!! You broke my heart 💔

I went here with business colleagues for a work event recently. First time in Eugene, OR. Such a great restaurant and bar. The rooftop views were exceptional - seeing all of Eugene. The firepit was a nice touch enjoying a drink outside. Greg the bartender knows his tequilas and beers. He made excellent recommendations for drinks and food. Classy guy! Loved the chips and salsa!

Love going here food amazing so are the drinks but last night I had the worst service and waiter forgot about us . Took about 30/45 mins to get our drinks but the white males that looked like that had $$ that got seated after us got their drinks before us and were getting the best service possible. Assuming because we were females not white they automatically assumed they were gonna get the best tip? We had to ask other people for water and other things after we waited FOREVER for him to even check on us. Got our drinks before wrong then we asked for the right one waited forever for it and never came then charged us for the wrong drink we had to ask for it to be taken off he acted like he didn’t remember he got the drink wrong truly love coming here but Jesus waiters like those truly ruin the establishment. Don’t judge people by their race, or gender assuming we’d give you a bad tip?well your earned it buddy hope you enjoyed those 30. Cents. First time I’ve ever tipped less than 20% and not in cash because coming from a service industry person I always tip heavy and in cash.

Greg was attentive and remembered us on our second visit while staying at The Gordon. Service was fantastic. First night with Leopard Shirt bartender was fun too. Love the rooftop vibe. This restaurant has a great view, nice food, but we came into poor service with our waitress. Short hair, glasses, many arm tattoos, Nice enough gal, but couldn’t get a drink for 20 minutes. We watched four other groups be sat after our order was taken and they received their drinks and complementary salsa and chips ten minutes before us. We only got our salsa after asking at the same time we were ready to ask for the check. I’m someone who who has worked in the food industry for many years so I may be nitpicky. Please do better Carlita’s, I’d love to recommend.
