First time visiting 12/6/24 around 6:15pm. Waited about 45 mins to get our food along with everyone else that was there. There were 3 employees in the back (blasting inappropriate/cuss filled rap music as children sat nearby) dancing as a restaurant FILLED with waiting and paying customers sat and watched. There was a young girl at the front counter who seemed to be the only one with customer service and it was her first day! She was continually taking orders but the back staff just wasn’t producing the orders with any sort or urgency. Teriyaki chicken was burnt and over saturated with the sauce..probably trying to hide how burnt it was. Unfortunately the sauce was awful as well. I’m assuming we caught them on a bad night given all the positive reviews but I would not recommend.

Went there at 730 on a Saturday (on there door it says closed at 8) and they were closed. With two employees inside just standing there. Super frustrating.
Absolutely phenomenal, best Hawaiian food in town personal opinion.
Friendly staff, open floor space perfect for a wheelchair user.
Seats are nicely spaced so you aren't cramped even in the booths.
Vegetarian options: There's a few vegan options available, as well as some fish based dishes for pescatarians.
Parking: Fairly large parking lot, though it is shared with the adjacent businesses it's not usually too busy though.
Wheelchair accessibility: The floor is very open and the tables are low, very accessible for my wheelchair but might be harder if you have one of the bigger electric ones. The access to the bathroom seems a little narrow.

This is not only the real deal, it goes beyond that. This place is unreal! Take your classic Hawaiian BBQ and then put some real Aloha and umami in that. IYKYK: This place. Is. Ono.

First time I got food here and it was incredible. I stopped by a week ago on my walk to check it out and the guys working inside were super friendly and gave me some of the history. It's definitely a place I will go to and recommend to others. You can tell they take a lot of pride in the entire business.

This place I am giving yet another 5 star review on my business account. There are some restaurants that leave core memories, this is one of them. The food here healed my spirit. I maladaptively daydream about the mac salad and the chicken teriyaki. IT IS THE BEST HAWAIIAN FOOD THAT I HAVE EVER EATEN IN MY LIFE. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!

As I walked up to the place, I made a note of the black stain on the concrete leaving the restaurant. You can certainly smell the grill when you walk in, which wasn’t a bad smell, but obviously a lot of char is floating in the air making it to the ground and getting tracked outside.
The service was friendly. Not overtly helpful or attentive, but friendly.
I ordered the Teriyaki chicken with noodles and Mac. I prefer white meat and some places have that as an option, but not here. That said, the chicken was good and tender. The sauce is very sodium heavy. It is grilled over a flame and I was happy to see some char, but some of the char was from the grill (not the chicken) which meant it tasted more like charcoal. But not too much though.
The room seems pretty laid back (which is so Hawaiian), yet I wished there was more. It’s like they put in the kitchen, some tables and pictures and quit.
Overall, not bad.

Got shrimp on my plate when I didn't order it. I don't like shrimp. When I asked for a new plate (because it permeates and other food will taste like it) he mocked me, saying "EVERYTHING tastes like shrimp?!!" Then he brought out 3 small containers of what was ACTUALLY supposed to be on my plate, with less ribs. Not the proper way to handle it - at all. I should have received a brand new plate that looked just like what I ordered. This was my first time here. Won't be going back.

Was 7pm when we arrived and the guy taking our order was already warning us that they close at eight and they would be cleaning up around us while we ate. Music was very loud too so we decided to take our food to go. The coleslaw tasted like it had chemical cleaner in it, rice had no taste and was not like normal sticky rice. We got the gluten-free teriyaki sauce and I don’t recommend.
Asking for a container of sauce seemed like we were bothering him (front cashier). The guys in the back seemed nice.
Overall not a great experience and normally we love Hawaiian plate lunches.

I don't know if I just got the wrong thing, but my food was super greasy and flavorless. I got the eggplant katsu plate with noodles. The side salad was the best part.
