Got an order to go - shrimp Diablo and arroz con pollo. It was expensive ($52.00 and we had to pay extra for chips). The food just didn't seem of very good quality. Chicken was dry.

I sat at the host station for 20 minutes and not one employee came to the front to greet or seat me…ever. I just walked out. Multiple staff looked over to me from the floor. They chose this to ignore me. DO NOT EAT

Great for a sit-down casual meal! If you are hosting an event, be sure to checkout Chapala's Fiesta Platter... Great value to feed a large group!

We were looking for a place with a booth, chips and good food.Unfortunately the food was undesirable. Lacking basic elements such as salt and it felt like it may have been microwaved as the shrimp were little rubber rocks. Service was not bad, not good. There are so many great food trucks around, just wish they could replace the food in a place like this, so I could get booths, chips and great food. Didn't find it here and wouldn't come again. Also I do acknowledge there are folks around that appreciate really bland Mexican-American food, so I get that perhaps this establishment is trying to appeal to that pallet. Please consider adding basic elements in reasonable proportions (like salt). Thanks!

I’ve eaten here for years but now it’s risky. One of my favorites has always been Steak Fajita Salad. The Chef’s used to use fresh greens and fresh mushrooms. Now, instead they use tired yellowed iceberg lettuce and mushrooms that should have been thrown out 48 hours before. I know restaurants operate on tight margins but I won’t return for food that doesn’t maintain time honored standards. This was unacceptable.

Chapalas is delicious and authentic. I've been coming to this restaurant off and on for the past 12 or so years. Never once have I been disappointed. I always go for the mucho burrito or a chimichanga, and let me tell you they are a trip straight to flavortown. Fairly large portion sizes too so you may want to skip breakfast haha. The staff is very nice and helpful. As far as Mexican restaurants go this is by far one of the best in the city. I recommend this place to anybody that wants some amazing food.Parking: There is a average size lot in the back of the restaurant. I have never not gone a spot so anybody that drives here should be just fine parking.Kid-friendliness: I've seen plenty of kids birthdays here, and the staff always makes it quite fun.Wheelchair accessibility: It's very flat ground from the parking lot to the entrance and there are tables that allow for you to pull a wheelchair up to them to enjoy your delicious meal.
