We have been coming in to Chen's Happy Garden for more than ten years. We love the pot stickers and the General Tso chicken. We left the area and moved back and our favorite waitress left, but the food is still really good.

I’ve driven past Chen’s Happy Garden so many times but finally decided to stop in for lunch. I’m so happy I did, cause the food was great especially for the price, and portions. I had more than enough for lunch the next day. The lady that took our order was super nice, and on point with service. It’s a great lunch spot, and I’ll definitely be going back. The city has done a good job of cleaning up the homeless problem around this location.

They lost my family's business today. Hostess shows no courtesy or appreciation for anyone, not even long time returning customers. Even though she's never been very friendly, I've always tipped well and been very polite to her. Today, she was implementing her new pickup order identification (where she asks if the phone number for the order is correct and reads it to you), and while I placed the order, my partner picked it up. He wasn't expecting her to ask about a phone number, and he said yes go the wrong one. This is admittedly his fault, but the way she handled it was absolutely ridiculous. We got charged for a very expensive order, and when my partner saw that he immediately realized what happened. He apologized and said that this was the wrong order. She got PISSED and freaked out on him, making him feel like an idiot and saying she didn't know how to fix it (what business owner doesn't know how to issue a refund?? Really??). Then, she went into the back and was yelling really loud for over 10 minutes while we waited. She couldn't even figure out how to refund the amount to his card, so she gave him cash. She continued to be extremely rude and treated my partner like an idiot for a simple mistake throughout the whole thing. As someone who has worked in customer service my whole life, this behavior is unacceptable and completely inappropriate for someone who's been working in food and running a restaurant for so long. We will never be coming back after that horrible experience, and I recommend that no one else supports such a bad business that treats their customers like trash. The food is ok, but the breaded chicken is mostly breading, and they tend to skimp on ingredients in each dish. I was willing to accept it until she freaked out on us. Please just go somewhere else

Excited they are indeed open for Christmas, however, the food just wasn't the quality and presentation we are really expecting. The taste was average, nothing to write home about. They were quite kind, very quick, and happy to oblige. I believe they are now take-out only...

I house sit in this area a few times a year and ALWAYS stop in to get food to go. The food is fabulous. Generous portions, friendly staff. I cannot say enough nice things about this place. Treat yourself to a memorable experience.
Love this place! We have not ever sat to eat, but we always order number 2. They are very quick to have your food ready and everyone is very nice. The pork chow mein and egg foo young are my favorite.

The outside looks a little beat up but is one of the best Chinese restaurants we have eaten at here in Eugene. It reminds us of our favorite place on the coast. Reasonable price, has great food, and is clean inside.

This is the best chinese food in my opinion! I have tried several chinese food places in the area and hands down this one is my favorite. They have the best fried rice ever! The service is beyond great, the gentleman that has been there the couple of times we went is super sweet and very attentive. If you have not tried this I recommend it!! We go here every week now!
