The service here is subpar. All staff looked miserable. I tried asking the barista questions about the coffee and specifics and it seemed (by their facial expressions and one word response) like it was bothersome. Once I received my latte, it just tasted like warm milk, so much so that I had to go to a different shop to purchase a double shot of espresso to add to my original order. Not fun to spend so much on a tasteless latte.
I was in Eugene for a night and so glad that I chose this place for coffee. The atmosphere is open, warm and a little rustic feeling. The staff was super friendly and the breakfast sandwich was (huge!) delicious. Can’t wait to visit again!
There are a lot of coffee shops and roasters in Eugene. Some of them are good; some of them are great. But none of them reach the level of quality, care, and kindness that Farmer's Union does.
From their phenomenal fresh roasted beans to the wonderful seasonal beverages (don't sleep on that Orpington Latte!) to the best breakfast sandwich in town (fight me), there isn't a negative word I can say about this place.
