The Brie appetizer is a must have, but honestly everything I've tried here is a winner. Drinks especially!

All services from scheduling reservations to the quality of food was spectacular. Host, wait staff, and bussers are friendly, aware and watchful, patient and accommodating. Highly recommend the burger, pork chop, fries, and beet salad. Tuna tasted fantastic but portions were small. Drinks at the tavern ans speakeasy were yummy!

Cool vibe. Very limited menu. They forgot the avocado on my chicken avocado sandwich, but brought it to me on a separate plate pretty quickly.

Wedge salad is a solid meal, though the sauce was a bit strong for own personal liking.Brownie pie was great.

For a busy hotel restaurant, the Gordon Tavern handles the volume of customers quite well. Menu has some staples, excellent happy hour specials and usually an interesting special or two.

Should have read reviews before coming here, we sat at the bar Saturday afternoon, bartender obviously did not want to be there and he was not shy about it. My napkin with silverware had two long black hairs folded in it, when I asked for a new one it was switched out without a word. Food was mediocre and not hot, but with how long the food was sitting on the pass in a not busy restaurant I'm not surprised. This is a cool place but obviously has little to no professional management.

We took our U Of O granddaughter and a couple of her friends for dinner and had a wonderful experience. My Steelhead Trout was perfectly cooked. Our granddaughter, a vegetarian, was happy with her Beyond burger and the pizza lover in the crowd was thrilled with her mushroom pizza. One of our group has a life threatening peanut allergy, which was thoroughly and thoughtfully discussed with our knowledgeable server. We will return!

Went here on Valentines Day, not only were the staff attentive, but the music was soft and nostalgic. The food met and exceeded my standards, each dish coming out right after the other one was done and had time to settle. Delicious; highly recommend.

Disappointed

We ate at Gordon Tavern for the first time to celebrate our daughter's birthday. While our server was very good and attentive, our Eggs Benedict arrived to us cold, not even room temperature, but refrigerator cold. The eggs were perfectly done and the sauce perfect, but the other ingredients were stone cold. We did not say anything to our server because it was a special occasion for our daughter and we did not want to spoil it. Thank you for providing the chance to comment.

We really enjoyed our time during late night happy hour. We got the midnight stroll cocktail, romaine salad, truffle fries, hot Italian pizza and the wagyu burger. Everything was tasty, especially the truffle fries!

The food was cold, bland, disgusting. The atmosphere is an absolute vibe however.

A+++ This is a great place to be! Service was quick, and the food was straight out of the oven. We hit happy hour and got chicken sliders, truffle fries, and two pizzas for $42. It was so much food that we bought an entire pizza back to our room. Will eat again ?

The service, as usual, was excellent. The food was good, tho I wish the chef would use a more tasty, flavorful coating for the calamari dish. The calamari were tender and a nice proportion was provided, but the bread-coating is lacking in flavor. We enjoyed our dinner and will return.

The steak was great & well prepared. There was a good portion of mashed potatoes that was excellent. The amount of vegetables was paltry: two very thin sliced carrots and just a few slices of zucchini. The server did not come by to offer a second cup of coffee. For the price charged, soup or salad should have been included. My wife had fish and chips which were tasty. The tartar sauce was a little too spicy for her taste.
