I’ve been wanting to try this lovely little food truck for a while now. I am in the process of starting my own food truck so I wanted to check this cart out as I was told Bill built it himself, as well I needed to try what was called “easily the best biscuits and gravy in town”
Well here is my review of Hey Y’all!!!
If I said this was the WORST food I ever had in my life, I’d be a HUGE LIAR!!! This was hands down the best food I’ve eaten off a food truck ever. Prices were good, food was amazing and the service was great.
I got the pork belly over biscuits and gravy and it was amazing. Never had deep fried pork belly before and by god I’ll get this 9 out of 10 times. My wife got the chicken biscuit and added egg and cheese, she thought the season on the chicken took away from the biscuit….. I think she is wrong. Please don’t tell her I said that lol. Seriously though, it was bomb as hell too. I’ll get that when I’m not getting my pork belly.
And then comes the rice crispy with Dubai chocolate. I actually did not like it, but I’m not a big fan of Dubai chocolate anyways, my wife on the other hand devoured it and loved it. We even took an extra home for the kids and they loved it too.
If you are thinking, hey who had the best biscuits, or chicken, or pork belly, it’s Hey Y’all without a doubt. Go here, but expect a little wait as they seem to be steadily busy. I think I only waited about 10 minutes so not too bad but could have easily turned into much longer. Order ahead if you worry about waiting.

I was told this was the best chicken fried steak around. I was than extremely disappointed when I learned Dennys had a better quality steak than here. The steak was to rough, the breading came off the entire piece. It was extremely hard to cut and would not break down after chewing for minutes.
I was really looking forward to it. The pictures drew me in and the presentation looked nice. But the flavor and the price to quality is far out of reach.
The chicken was ok.

Their food is incredible! Picked up a big order for brunch, everything was perfect. 10/10!
Finally got to try Hey Y’all and it did not disappoint. The staff were so friendly and amazing! The food was to die for! Their biscuits were the best I have ever had so buttery and fluffy melt in your mouth. 10/10 recommend and we will be back to keep trying everything on the menu!
The Sweet Tea is fantastic! Took me straight back to Mamaw’s front porch. Biscuits are on point, light and fluffy. The sausage is tasty if a little thin. The sausage gravy was nothing like Southern style. There should be nothing but salt, pepper, and the flavor from your fresh browned sausage fond in the pan along with milk and flour. I’m not sure what herb that was, but it didn’t sit right. Definitely got a belly full for a decent price.

This place is a 20/10 - we drove all the way out from east Springfield to have breakfast and it was EXCELLENT. The portions are awesome, flavorful and absolutely filling. We will be back 😍

I have been seeing a lot of good reviews for Hey Ya'lls... especially for their Chicken Fried Steak / Biscuits and Gravy combo. So naturally I had to try it. Lunchtime, after all!
Nice little food truck park up on Barger... easy to find and get to.
Went up to the window and ordered Chicken Fried Steak! Service was ok. Got a remote alarm to let me know when the meal was ready. Ordered a bottled water also.
Remote went off... got my food. It was good! Large piece of chicken fried steak, hot and crispy. Large biscuit (halved), and LOTs of yummy gravy. Little heavy on the pepper for my tastes.. but was very good.
I ate it all! Good portions.... I was adequately full, without over doing it.
All in all, a good experience!

Decided to try their food this morning. As I walked up to the truck, I greeted the person with good morning. No response. I looked over the menu, decided what I want, and stepped up to the order window. The worker didn't even acknowledge i was there. Waited for a few moments. Left and went elsewhere for breakfast.
If you're a displaced suth'una like me and ya gots the hankerin' for some real southern home cookin', this is your place!
