Horrible experience. We waited 45 minutes for two sandwiches and were still told, “They’ll be ready in 15 minutes—sorry about that.” Come on. Were you hunting the chicken and growing the parsley this whole time?
Please hire more staff and stop being greedy. I honestly hope the employees working there aren’t being overworked or mistreated.

I just spent $11 on a seeded sourdough that I could spread anything on. It had so many holes in the bread I couldn’t spread butter or mayonnaise.

it's so good. everything is so damn good
Go early because bakery items sell fast and as they close at 4 p.m. due to sharing space with another business. My favorite is the sweet 🍠 potatoes bun and olive sour dough loaf. Everything is freshly made. If any day old you can call to reserve and buy at 2/2 price.

Whether you are picking up at one of their tables at the Saturday market or at location having breakfast this is a top spot for a brunch and breakfast staple. Pastries of all kinds and a easy going atmosphere with the interior and outside seating.

If you go to Reddit, everyone says “go to Morning Glory” when you’re in Eugene. They’re wrong. And I’m not here to pit the girlies against each other, but Hideway Cafe absolutely redeemed my lack of good breakfast experiences in Eugene. Their baked goods? Phenomenal. The breakfast? So good. The harissa hash was everything needed on a cold morning. Even the cinnamon roll was yummy and I’m a cinnamon roll snob. Anyways, 10/10 service, pastry, and hot meals.

My friend told me stop by and grab some treats for the road. Everything looked beautiful & I could barely decide. Ultimately bought a ham & cheese pastry and potato donuts to go with my coffee, plus veggie enchiladas to go. All was delicious. I will be back.

This place has excellent service, baked goods, and a few nice meal options at a great price! I just wish they used better coffee/espresso machine and/or beans because the coffee tastes burnt. If the coffee was better I would be here all the time!

Best spot for organic pastries and bread.
Expect a line on the weekends and during busy times but worth it!

Very hit and miss. Don't try to eat here if you're gluten free. Not only is the food often cross contaminated, but the last time there was an issue, the staff was aggressive with me about it, as if the issue was my fault.
We had an awful experience. In short, do not visit here on the weekend, or unless you have three hours to wait, and don’t have to order gluten free bread.
It took over two and a half hours to order and receive our food, when it arrived, one of the four items ordered was missing, one of the orders was wrong and even though we asked for gluten free bread, regular bread was given causing one of our party to become ill. The server did what she could, but had to tell me that the missing brunch dish wasn’t sent to the kitchen with my order, and that they could make one but it would take a lot of time. I will never return. The coffee was great, and it was a cute place, but neither of those things can justify a return visit. I wish I could take back the nearly three hours of my day I spent there.
Two stars given for the food since the two dishes of the four ordered that were correct were good. But I cannot overlook the incorrect order, giving us regular bread instead of gluten free, and completely missing one entree even though it took over two hours to get our food.

I was super excited to give this place a try, there was decent amount of people so we assumed it must be pretty good. Outside was cute, heaters were outside and a place to stay inside with a fire pit. Waited about 15 minutes in line- not bad there was a decent selection of food and pastries and bread. The very disappointing thing was waiting an HOUR for 2 okay sandwiches. I was suprised they didn’t even say it would be a long wait just for a sandwich. MOST places when there’s a long wait you get notified or something. We got the food and it was okay. A little spendy for what you get and was not worth the wait. I got there at 9am and left almost 10:35am and had to just eat in my car due to a few hour drive back. Would be better of just going to the Cresswell bakery and would have been able to get good food in a timely manner. The staff at the Hideaway bakery seemed snobby and very short. I normally tip well and I love little bakery’s but will not be coming back. And would recommend if you’re hungry and want food in a timely manner-don’t go. Even if the wait time would have been stated that would have been incredibly helpful.
