High on the Hog BBQ and Sweets

I was really disappointed with this bbq place. I asked the guy working if I could have a sample of the Mac n cheese and he said no and later explained it’s because of the area, people that aren’t customers come in and try to get samples, which I understand but man I wish I would’ve been able to try it because the Mac n cheese was horrible. The burnt ends were a little dry, and not very fatty like most burnt ends I’ve had. The coleslaw and toast was probably the best part of my meal. With that being said the coleslaw was just okay. I ordered a sweet tea, and it was so watered down and hardly sweet. My husband loved mac n cheese and got two orders of it and only hate 1/2 of one of the orders.

Great food! Visitng from out of state and wanted to get a good dinner, was craving pulled pork & briscut so I Googled this place, and was not disapointed. great food, great flavor, sauces were authentic and really hit the spot.. Spoke with the owner who has 3 locations and seemed really invested in providing great food and experience for everybody. I did knock 1* from atmospher as it's grouped into a tight hard to access space but otherise fantatsic experience

I am a senior at sehs, my friends and I go to this place pretty regularly and it is AMAZING! we always get the Mac and cheese which is suuuuper good. So is the fries and toast. I especially love the noodles they use because the cheese sauce gets all up in there. Overall the prices are good and the service is to. Highly recommend.

They’re burnt ends taste more like dead ends if you want good burnt ends, go to wild fangs their prices for a half a pound $27 you can get a full pound for 18 at wild fangs figured we would try it here very disappointed

$28 for dried out “burnt” ends, Mac n cheese seemingly from a box, tasteless coleslaw. I ate here years ago and it was quite good but something has gone very wrong. Pic is the whole meal served us.

The food here is so terrible idk how there are multiple 5 star reviews. It was bland and over cooked and all around horrible. The brisket looked green and it was kind of pricey.

We had the best sweet tea, amazing burned ends brisket plate with Mac and cheese and coleslaw! It was very flavorful and you can that the owner loves what he does because of the thought and care that’s put into each dish. Absolutely amazing and will def be coming back! (Also the banana pudding is a 10/10!!)

Daughter and I shared a delicious burnt ends plate with coleslaw and Mac and cheese! So good and the sweet tea was perfect beverage. Definitely coming back!

The place is located in a cool neighborhood market type area. The place is like walking into a culturally diverse comic book. When I went to order, the guy was super patient with me, which is a plus. Turns out my card was declined for who knows what, probably just broke. As I was walking away, the cook/owner stopped me and said, “You’re eating today.” I shook his hand and thanked him big. I will be back later to pay. This interaction gave me goosebumps. Very very kind and unheard of behavior. Most definitely will keep eating their food.
