Good lunch stop, I got the burnt ends because they were on special and unfortunately did not come with a side so ended up spending an extra $4 for a handful of French fries. My husband got two of their small bites menu items, a pulled pork slider with mac and cheese and a brisket sandwich with french fries and said he enjoyed the pork slider more than the brisket. My burnt ends had too much fat and gristle, the brisket was overcooked and spending $50 on lunch just seems excessive. That being said, the service was phenomenal the atmosphere was great and the food came out quickly, so thanks for lunch.

Not a place I would go. Strange hours never seems to be open or has weird hours. I'd say its poorly ran. Plenty of other places to go so its their loss as far as im concerned. Why even have a restaurant if your not going to be open times people most often eat?

At a catered event at our apartment complex. Everything set up on time.
Everything tasted from scratch, not from a freezer, and was fresh.
I thought everything was good. The beans were excellent.
The pulled pork and chicken bbq were very good.
Tasty cookies and brownies.

I visited right at their opening time of 11 a.m., and the atmosphere inside felt like that of a restaurant that’s been around for a long time. I ordered the brisket and chicken—while the chicken tasted great, the brisket seemed off from the moment it hit the table.
It was sliced far too thin, which meant it lacked the juicy, luscious quality one expects. It was served at a low temperature and had dried out, rather than being moist and tender. In terms of flavor, it didn’t quite deliver, and judging by the dark bark, I suspect the issue lay in how it was stored or held after smoking.
On the bright side, the potato dish was excellent. However, the muffin served alongside was in such poor condition that I didn’t even touch it.
I have no intention of returning—not just because of the food, but also because of the old, worn-out tableware. The black plastic plates were covered in deep knife marks that made them look unhygienic. While I can appreciate tradition, I’d prefer to do without aging plastic plates and utensils. I cannot recommend this place.

I'm from Texas and I do not consider this Texas barbecue however they do have a smoked burger that is absolutely delicious. Great onion rings too.

First off we arrived 5 minutes before the dine in area closed. We didn't realize it closed 30 min before the restaurant does (they stay open for takeout). She still sat us and attended us and was super nice. The food was great and I would imagine it would be even better not so close to closing time. Sauces were great and food was well cooked and flavorful.

The food is always delicious but I came there expecting to pay $10 for a salad and when I got there they charged me $17.50 and the website clearly shows as well as the Google page.. $9.99 not to mention ingredients were unavailable. Still a great place, just needs to be updated.

Service was great. The food was not bad by any means but it lacked flavor for me. I missed having Texas BBQ and wanted to give this a try and it missed the mark a little for me.

M husband and I are from the south and now moving to Eugene- this reminded us of back home! Fried Okra is wonderful and was an added treat as we have not found it living in oregon for 20 years! Tea was just like mama makes! And… the BbQ was so tender, delicious and not over salted or sauced! Thanks for a great lunch and super service!
