Was there this evening and really thought it was a good place to pop into. I took advantage of the Buy a Big Beer and get a Sake for $1 Deal. I had a hand roll, and the Lemon roll which were great. My server was really attentive, and super sweet. Good vibes, good food, and excellent service. I think I may come back next week if I get can a chance. Definitely a great place to go in Eugene!

First time visiting this restaurant, it was delicious! It was a beautiful day, so my partner and I opted for take-out.
We got the curry chicken katsu, garlic edamame, and some calamari. Additionally, it came with a free miso soup to our delight.
The katsu curry was very flavorful with perfectly sticky rice. It could have maybe used a tiny bit more meat but was still enough for a full meal. The garlic edamame came in a generous portion and was quite tasty as well. The calamari was perfectly crispy and delicious, though the portion was a bit small on this.
Everything came neatly separated into different boxes, keeping it all fresh and ready to eat when we picked it up. The restaurant was quite pretty inside as well, so we will have to stop by again to dine in sometime.
The owner/manager whomever yells at the staff in front of customers (shouldn’t be yelling at all). I don’t want to support a place that treats their staff like trash. Eat somewhere else. They have a single person doing everything in front, it looks understaffed. If they can’t treat their staff right with better management and hiring more people they shouldn’t have a business. Shame on everyone giving this place 4-5 stars at this unethical establishment. Do better, treat your waiters better.

We eat sushi all the time. This is the best in Eugene and Springfield. All the stars for eating here. The portions are generous, the price is the same as other sushi places, yet, the quality far surpasses all other sushi places in the community. The quality has less fillers and more delicious fish, truly filling sushi, how it should be, nearest to the sushi we had in Japan.Not only sushi, this place has delicious noodles, appetizers and real Japanese dishes. I haven't had such yummy takoyaki since being in Japan.Service is friendly, prompt and caring. This is now our favorite place. I don't like going onto the campus area, yet, it is now worth it to eat at this place. It has the best food (10/10 for flavor and presentation), excellent service and good prices for the top notch quality. We are already planning our next trip back and will not be getting sushi anywhere but here now.

Base your expectations on the fact that this is a college town and this izakaya is a couple streets away from the university. There's nothing wrong with that! Our servers were young college kids who worked hard and were attentive to our table! Chef cares about his craft; he corrected a server who set my sushi upside down, which was an extremely minor mistake I didn't mind. I'm sure we'll go again if we're in the area, but I wish they had fans or AC; I'm sure it gets hot in the summer.
