Although the food was pretty good, she declined to accept my $50 gift card stating they are only good for one year, when in fact Oregon law states gift cards have no expiration in Oregon. I would have used it sooner, but I ended up with Cancer and was unable to use it. Also nowhere does it state on the receipt or card there is an expiration. Visiting the area from Alaska and we couldn't be happier with this accidental find. The service was speedy and the waitress knowledgeable and very nice. The food was great - fresh and flavorful. We would absolutely stop again if we are ever in the area.
The gyu don was very strange. It seemed to have a heavy dashi base or something that clashed horribly with the beef. It also had a more chinese style flavour profile from the vegetables mixed in and how the eggs were cooked. We couldn't eat more than a few bites and were very confused and disappointed. If you're looking for a Japanese style gyu don this is not the place, I'd stick with the sushi.
