J-Tea offers a great selection of pu'er, oolong, and aged teas; as well as decent black, green, and herbals. He is friendly and knowledgeable. I recommend coming into the store to chat with the owner Josh and try out the Stand & Slurp events! Great tea for the price and quality if you are searching for better quality loose and whole leaf teas.
I recently went out of my way on a road trip to visit J-Tea, and was very excited to sit down and drink some tea! Upon arrival the owner informed me that there is no regular tea service during the summer. This is contrary to the Google Map listing, which indicated that the "Dine-in” option was available, and the first photo shows people sitting down and enjoying tea. Despite my disappointment, I ended up buying a couple of teas the owner recommended, which I’ve been enjoying...
Great selection of teas, very cool ambiance and in one of my favorite parts of Eugene. Very knowledgeable regarding the teas that are there too! All of the food carts nearby and the little market are an additional bonus.
