I've been to Magpie twice and both times were disappointing. The first time I got a hot chai and I could not taste the chai at all. The second time I went, I got a mocha and it tasted like the shot was burnt. A friend once got one of their salted seasonal drinks and it was way too salty and they had their drink re-made. A different friend ordered the avocado toast, which was way too salty and the presentation looked messy. Additionally, the staff do not seem particularly concerned with customer service. This is nit-picky, but there were two staff members who were engaging in conversation very loudly for over 20 minutes, disturbing the ambience. Overall, there are many other coffee shops around Eugene with better coffee, prices, customer service, and ambience.

Cute coffee shop within walking distance from our hotel. In the market district. Got a mocha and biscuit breakfast sandwiches. Everything was delicious. Staff was friendly and fast service.

Counter person was rude, coffee was weak, nice space. Had a Jam bar (or something to that effect) and breakfast bowl. Jam bar was really good, breakfast bowl was awful. Veggies were raw, egg was runny when requested hard. Requested a remake and given the same thing. Could be much better than it is.

Delicious, made from scratch food and even better coffee (I recommend the cold brew with a smidge of pumpkin!) the service is what made it for me, staff went out of their way to make my experience better and were very very kind! Will certainly be back!

I really love how they always welcome me into the shop and the atmosphere is great to get my school work done! It’s my go to coffee spot so hopefully I’m not outing my secret spot but I just love it, and the staff are always great!

I always go to Magpie when I have an essay or a test to study for. I have a summer class I am wrapping up for and went in last week. I love how much sunlight there is and I always get an iced latte with oat milk and usually a baked good. I got the biscuit with butter and jam this time and it was really good. The staff is also really friendly and the music is at a good volume. I really recommend it for a nice study spot.
