Mandy's Family Restaurant

This was our second time here...our first was a late night "breakfast for dinner" and it was great...today we were in for breakfast....as always, the servers are very friendly and the coffee is great....the home fries were way overcooked, though...or maybe it was old/dirty oil...and the Corned beef Benedict is advertised as "crispy corned beef hash"...i envisioned big chunks of homemade corned beef with crispy edges.....what i got was canned hash that was far from crispy....accompanied by a poached egg and thick hollandaise, the texture was mush.

We'll be back but hoping for a better experience next time. We do appreciate Mandy and her love for this place. She cooked and delivered our food herself, and that's so cool. Just an off day, I suppose.

First time trying this place. Service was good. We had breakfast. I specifically got the Chicken fried steak and it was very good. The home fries O'Brien were disappointing and not warm though.

We stopped in on a Tuesday evening, (first time dining here) since it's open late. The menu looks great, lots of variety. We got breakfast items, eggs Benedict & a waffle sandwich. Only 1 of the 4 eggs was over-easy. We asked for a steak knife to cut the waffle, because it was soggy and impossible to cut/eat with a fork & butter knife. Plus it was very chewy. I don't think breakfast is their forte. At least not at night.

For my birthday I wanted a little morning run to Mandy’s for breakfast and the server was rude from the get go even after I tipped her (not even buying, just wanted to be nice and tip) this person seemed as if they were mad at my three friends and I for even existing. It was very humiliating. I put a dollar in the claw machine and instantly got an error, I spoke to her about it and she gave me a very snarky comment with an attitude. As a service worker who manages a restaurant just up the road, it’s not hard to be nice to people, especially those who tip. And for the cherry on top, she chased me out of the store to further argue with me about my intentions of leaving a review. I love the restaurant and adore the fact there is a 24/7 breakfast spot near but this is completely uncalled for. February 8th 4:30 AM whoever was on shift, I’m sorry you were having a bad day but good lord, just try just even a little bit to be nice. ESPECIALLY, those who are tipping you before the purchase was even MADE.

We came in for a late night bite so our options were limited. I picked a waffle which they didn’t have strawberries for so I subbed blueberries. I was happy with my meal but my boyfriend got the biscuits and gravy and thought it was mediocre. The service was however incredibly disappointing. We were never asked about drinks from the first woman that helped us and her service towards us was not very kind and attentive compared to how she was being with the other table who were obviously regulars. The second woman who came in we thought was a customer because she was dressed in basketball shorts and had the mouth of a sailor. She was incredibly rude and just as inattentive. All around the experience was disappointing. This place seems like with better service it would be a better spot to come with your children during the day. They have a bunch of toys which I thought was a lovely idea.

Fries were great. The burger was very salty. My wife is allergic to dairy and the waitress only said "I'm pretty sure all bread has milk in it, we do have gluten free" Never even offered to check. Probably wouldn't complain but this is the second time we have been there and had the same reaction about dairy.

The fist time I came here was a few months ago for breakfast, and the corned beef eggs benedict was delicious! The server was very nice and it was a good experience. However, I came in for a second time for a late lunch, and the experience was very different. The place is very dirty and dusty! The way the entrance is set up is cramped and confusing with a messy kids area. The server was very nice. However, after being seated, we just couldn't eat there and left. It was very loud, chaotic, and dirty

1. Told there would be a 20-30 minute wait due to family size; though we watched two empty tables next to each other (1 for 6 and 1 for 2) open then entire time we waited. 2. Finally seated, half of our drink order was taken; the other half taken 5 minutes later. 3. Waitress came by to take order, but then left when she heard our drink order was not finished. Then waited on multiple other tables before returning. 4. When she returned, before taking order, made sure to inform us that our (5) adults and (3) kids (ages 6, 2, and 9 months) would require the mandatory 15% gratuity charge. My opinion…I tip based on service…you want a good tip…earn it. Mind you, I have still only managed to order half of our drinks at this point. 5. Orders taken. Drinks finally completed. Food arrived. 6. I ordered “chops and eggs” also including an English muffin and potato chunks. Nothing…and I mean NOTHING on my plate was seasoned beyond the butter on my English muffin. Mind you, for $17.00 you’d think spice and flavor were included…they were not. 7. Serving sizes were decent though; everyone had good portions. 8. One of my tipping rules is dependent upon whether my glass is refilled in a timely manner…mine was not. I tried to flag down my mandatory 15% staff at one point, but could not get her attention. It has finally been refilled for first time at the end of my meal. However, more tea was added to my glass…more ice must cost extra. Normally I don’t leave such explicit reviews, but since the gratuity was mandatory, I felt the review should be as well. So my scores out 5-point scale: Greeting: 2 out of 5 Food quality: 5 out of 5 Food taste: mine…3 out of 5; the table 3.5 out of 5. (Seasoning goes a long way) Service: 2 out of 5 Will we eat here again…not likely. Denny’s is cheaper, has bigger portions, and taste better in my opinion. But it is the service and the extra mandatory gratuity that was added over a 9 month old baby. The baby that ate nothing but cost me an additional $16.35.

Amazing place. But check your tickets, especially if you tip cash. Had almost $10 in tips added to my check after I left. When I called they said owner would reach out but nothing after 2 weeks.. so keep an eye out.. I managed and worked in food for 15yrs never had this happen...

Decent food for a late-night meal. The amount of food on the plates are massive, so pump your breaks if you try to maw down food while dunk/otherwise.

Service is a bit slow, but understandable being two servers are trying to attend to a full house of customers. Staff is polite and don't rush your group when it comes to ordering food.

Overall, it was a positive experience with food that was enjoyable.
