Marche is a place where I’ve dined and was satisfied in the past. I was on a birthday trip and decided to treat myself. I couldn’t have been more disappointed. I had a wilted green salad, was very UN-impressed with the cucumber-watermelon soup, and the stale bread I sent back 3 times and finally gave up. Service was lousy. I’ll never go back to this overrated and overpriced establishment.
A very nice place to go out with friends , family or a business meeting , it’s a quaint space and not loud. Good food, drinks and service. The location is perfect, next to the 5th st market and free parking.
I rarely give bad reviews but I have to admit that we had a terrible experience. The hostess who seated us did a great job of apologizing that our table was not ready, but then we waited an extremely long time for our waiter to appear. Even then, he did not introduce himself, apologize for the delay, or wish us Happy Mother's Day. He barely made eye contact. Our food was seriously delayed and arrived cold.
