Place was recommended to us, but we walked out (10/25/25) after waiting close to half an hour on a quiet Sunday afternoon for our server to return after delivering waters and menus, despite tending to neighboring tables 3+ times.

Terrible service. They took our order and brought our coffee. We asked for a spoon for our coffee and they gave us a knife. After that we were completely ignored. I watched three tables who were seated after us and ordered after us get their food. After over an hour we still couldn't even get a refill on the coffee. I do not recommend this establishment.

A nice corner booth for conversation. But the music was a bit loud disallowing quiet cinversatiin across the table.

Such a cool place (all of them) with pool tables, shuffle boards and booths that are generously sized and comfortable. I can’t even explain the decor, but it’s fantastically eclectic, complete with a gorgeous antique wood stove from Michigan (?) that they fire up in the winter.
The food: this is where it gets tricky. It used to be amazing, but like most things post-COVID cutting costs has altered the way the offerings are prepared. What was once prepped “in-house” is now mostly food service fare. The soups are good, the burgers are smaller, the French Fries aren’t the same— though they’re same thin, breaded frozen fries most restaurants serve these days. I realize most people don’t mind… so, that’s a plus for them. The tater tots are perfectly cooked (I love ‘em) Cajun style preferred, but super duper salty, unless you ask them to tread lightly. lol
The beer, wine and cider = most worthy and worth a visit. Cocktails are amazing, but $$ and too small to savor. Again, a common thing these days.
The fish and chips are something I cannot recommend. $22 for 2 undersized triangle filets that you can find in a box in any frozen food grocery store. They should be ashamed to charge more than $11, much less put them on their menu. Good grief, you can go to Newman’s Fish and get 3 fresh hand-breaded Cod filets served with “REAL” French fries for nearly half the price. Though, you have to order “to go” or eat outside on their covered patio, the food is more than worth it!
The “fish and chips” disappointment at McMenamins is solely why I haven’t been back.
Go for the beer, cider and wine (the Pinot is scrumptious)… ask a lot of questions and you should be good!

Come on McMenamins on Agate in Eugene…fix your air conditioner. It’s been out for a long time and the staff says General Management refuses to fix it. Ridiculous!! We almost left for Agate Alley Bistro because of this.

The staff at mcmenamens on 19th make me feel good. Nick and Dylan are always a delight. I am there at least every other week If not more. They always check on me with sincere smiles and warm hearts. Whether it is a coffee or just water I need they make it happen and for that I am grateful. This week I wanted to acknowledge the wonder ginger mushroom soup they had. It was amazing. And the Cajun tator tots are always a win. Thank you again everyone at mcmenamins. I had a two young ladies serve on me yesterday around 5pm Wednesday April 16. I did not ask your names, but you know who you are great job and thank you for the welcoming pleasant service. You two helped remind me that great attentive service is a gift and I should acknowledge the more as I receive it. Thanks again all, and for all of you reading I encourage you to step out and try the 'Ginger Mushroom ' soup next time you are by.
I don’t know who to write this “letter” to, but I am devastated. Why on earth did you take off the Voodoo Wings from the menu? They are the best thing you guys offer! And it’s just a sauce, you already have the T-N-T basket of chicken, it’s the same freaking chicken. We drive hours out of our way to come to this specific McMenamins’s to have these wings. Please, please, please, bring them back.

Went in to play pool, asked to order food on happy hour menu during happy hour and was told I had to order alcohol to get the price on menu. I declined and said I didn't want the food. Waitress still brought the order out after I said no and charged us 11$ for fries. Overpriced for not even that good of food, definitely not coming to shoot pool again
the first time I went here it took like 2 hours to get us served. This was in like 2012 with my dad. I've been back several times and it's been good each time. Good food, prices are expensive but what isn't these days.
Really fun location with great views of the river and a park. Good food and great service.
