McMenamins in Eugene is located by the Williamette River and it’s such a beautiful place, both indoors and outdoors. The patio in summer time by the river is just magical.
The food is definitely superb, the drinks are fantastic… everything about this place is out of this world.
This is my go-to place every time I’m in Eugene.

Date/Time: 12/11/2024 at lunchtime about 1pm. Hostess was terrible – bad attitude. Server was good.

One of my favorite places to get a drink and a bite after a duck game or on a nice warm evening. The view of the river is amazing and the bar and the restaurant have such a great atmosphere

Always a place I stop at with family when I'm in the area. Love the black berry cider, Cajun tots, cheese curds and the burgers.
This visit I ordered the steak & frites!

Ok this by far the most unexpected review I feel forced to write simply because of the decor/theme of a restaurant. Because my lord. The random “tiki hut” atmosphere to try and convey the “forbidden” aspects of exploring unknown places in the world just does not hit right in 2025. The explanation on the back of the drinks menu makes it even more embarrassing because it clarifies that there’s no reason for the theme, it’s actually just an aesthetic choice with no deeper meaning or association with absolutely anything in Eugene. This was probably cute late 1990s/early 2000s, but as our society had come to understand the difference between appreciation and appropriation, this “aesthetics for aesthetics-sake” choices just leave a really poor taste in my mouth.

Food was fine, drinks were kind of disappointing because there’s a bunch of “island” specialty drinks that are cold or blended, which no one in a chilly Oregon autumn wants. Service was lovely and so was the view of the river!

Most Expensive desserts in Eugene! We had two pieces of cheese cake and one piece of pecan cake. The cost was $42.00, so $14.00 each!!! The dessert menu does not have the prices on it. We just figured they would be priced at an acceptable cost so we didn't ask. We would have skipped ordering dessert if the prices were stated.

Just like all McMenamins, the environment is always fun and the food is delicious! The river view was a bonus at this location!

Food and service was amazing. Took a little longer than normal to get a table, but we expected as much since it was right after a Duck game, but wa worth the wait.
