It's such a beautiful place to be in. I loved the warm vibe it gave and how friendly the staff is. I also like how clean it is and how everything smelled. Fresh bread is always a plus, and I loved everything about it. I'm really happy i found this place. New favorite.
First time here and I felt as if I was in Rue de Bac in Paris. Walking in and the atmosphere is so warm and inviting. They have menus to the side so everyone can get a chance to see what's on the menu without feeling as if they are in the way standing in the middle looking up at menu above the register.
The pastries are to die for and the bread, the bread? Just the smell of it had me salivating. I had the breakfast sandwhich on an American roll with scrambled eggs, Tillamook cheddar cheese and dry bacon. I also had two odds and ends pastries that I believe were leftover pieces of full pastry dishes but did they taste as such? No! Oh my goodness if I didn't have to leave I would have bought the whole lot. I'm picky at most places but with how clean and courteous the people and bakery is. It's going to become an all time favorite, I don't have to worry about spending my money he4e because it's totally worth it. A bakery transporting me back to France with its atmosphere and baked goods says a lot. Anyone visiting Oregon, specifically Eugene has to try this place at least once. 10/10.
My favorite bakery in Eugene. On the weekends they make a coffee cake that I love and my other favorite is the cherry-cheese Danish. The coffee is nice and strong, too.
Food is delicious but can be expensive and long waits due to understaffing.
What can I say. We eat breakfast & lunch here several times a week and stop by for coffee & treats , too.Love the goodies, love the people making all this possible! Thanks Metropol!
Best bakery in town. Selection is somewhat constrained, but every thing they sell is always excellent! Don't be fooled by the relatively unadorned cakes; they saved the effort for the inside :). You can also ask for the cake to be decorated with fresh flowers!
Thank you so much for bringing back the ciabbata bread. So yummy. Definitely my favorite bread of all time.
Metropol is my favorite bakery in town. Delicious food, awesome ambiance, wonderful workers :)

Please update your opening and closing times. Not fun driving all the way across town to find out the times online are different the the times on your door.
We got the walnut sourdough and it was very delicious!

Fantastic bread products. Really good deserts. Diabetes folks... They have a good sourdough bread and you can buy a half loaf!

Terrible service. I've never been greeted when coming in here. One of my visits, one of the girls working, was vocally complaining about people coming in and went into the back.

This is my go to bakery, every Thursday. My daughter gets the September 7th cake, my son gets either apple pie or a cinnamon guy, and I try different things. The cream puff is excellent!

Best bakery in Eugene. Breads are all amazing -- Eugene sourdough especially, is SO GOOD. Cakes delicious. Great quiche. Chicken salad is the best I've ever had. Everything is fresh, and the workers kind and helpful. The cafe is a lovely space for enjoying a quick snack.
