Vegan chicken and collards were delicious! Nice to have options, even better when the options are this tasty. Will definitely be coming back here.

Oh my soul this hot chicken sandwich is just plain beautiful. No I'm not talking about just the looks but the flavor, the spice, and just the crispiness is what makes this bird between buns so great. I actually LOVE how thin the patty is, which makes it especially crispy. Don't get me wrong, the chicken is still tender and juicy, but the breading is what shines the most to me. The cheesy grits is good as well! What a great side to pair with the spicy chicken. Lastly, I just feel good eating food that is obviously made with a passion. I cannot wait for more of their creations and for them to bring back those chicken gizzards!! The owners seems joyful about their small hole-in-the-wall restaurant with their simple but refined chicken sandwich.

The very best Hot Chicken Sandwich on the Planet! No joke. Super cool crew that works there, always welcoming and friendly. The owner is one cool dude.

Great people. Even better Hot Chicken. I was super excited to finally try this place and was definitely not disappointed. The place is small BUT had enough seating for a few groups. Right when I walked in I was greeted and given a rundown of the menu. They give you a choice of no spice, mild, medium, or hot for your chicken or vegan chicken. There are sandwiches, nuggets, and thighs. There are also sides to choose from including grits, collard greens, coleslaw, and fries. I ended up getting the mild chicken sandwich and grits to-go. This place totally deserves all five of these stars. The chicken had great, flavorful rub (not too spicy) and the grits were perfectly cooked. Not only that, but the overall service was amazing. I will for sure be coming back.

Superb chicken - crunchy crispy skin, perfect seasoning blend, great heat (if you want it - but of course you do!). Sides (grits, collards, coleslaw or fries) are all excellent. This place rocks.. .

My soul hot chicken! It's the place to be! It takes you back to the owners roots. A classically trained fine dining chef who has a passion for southern cuisine! The place is very clean and well thought out! The owner is very selective about his produce and quality of ingredients! That being said he has a quality outcome! I LOVED everything! My friend and I had the leg thy combo. We like spicy but not so so spicy you can't taste it so the owner suggested we try a light dusting of the spice which was perfect! Honestly though.... If you can't handle quite a bit of heat just get the classic. The chicken was perfectly cooked moist in the middle and had a savory crunch! Amazing! They were out of ham collard greens which incidentally was a big attraction for me because if you can't make good collards being from the south get out of the kitchen. So we opted for the grits and the coleslaw and the fries. The fries were ok (crispy but nothing to jump up and down about) but they were just an afterthought to the beautiful grits! I love me some cheddar grits! They were delicious and by suggestion from the owner I added the house made hot sauce and it was stunning! A word of caution this chef takes his spice seriously and when asked about salt and pepper I think his feelings were hurt. I added some to the grits and coleslaw but I really really like salt and pepper I'm a bit of a freak so for the average person I'm sure the spice was perfect. It's a small space and I'm sure on a busy day it can be quite crowded so plan for a back up of possibly taking your meal to go or prepare for a wait. Go to my soul hot chicken you will not regret it!

Today I couldn’t make up my mind what I wanted for lunch and remembered seeing this place on Blair and wanting to try! Well today was the day and let me say: SO GOOD! I got the chicken sandwich (medium heat) with a side of coleslaw and I’m blown away with the size of the sandwich & the flavor! 10/10 will be coming back again for my lunches and bringing my friends with.

New in town, so, I've been looking for good spots and I'm so glad I stumbled upon this place. It was some of the crispiest, juiciest, and overall best tasting pieces of chicken I've had in a while. The people that work there were incredibly friendly and just really cool. It made for a nice atmosphere. You can tell there's a lot of care and passion into the food and business itself. It's a great shop I'll definitely be frequenting.

Go here. I'm a self-proclaimed fried chicken connoisseur touring the world to find the best fried chicken and experimenting with recipes in my Fried Chicken Club. This place is bomb. Perfect succulence. Perfect crispy, crunchy crust on the chicken. Don't listen to that one star review. She is uninitiated in the world of fried chicken. I want to interview the chef about his business. Y'all white people lucky to have such flavorful chicken in the middle of Oregon.

The shrimp and grits were delicious and the collard greens were flavored perfectly! We came here and ordered a hit of everything to share and enjoyed every bit of it. The menu is straightforward and everything was seasoned well. The owner was super honest about the spice levels - I ordered mild and probably could have done medium but if your tolerance is low, start low.

I had the spicy chicken sandwich, pork collards, and cheesy grits. The food was really, really good. They bring new meaning to the word crispy in a crispy chicken sandwich The staff was extremely friendly. The spice levels kick in pretty quick so if you don't like spicy food I recommend you getting the original. The mild was nice and spicy, the medium very spicy, we did not try the hot.

Excellent fried chicken, and good, personable service. You can tell they marinate it, it's flavorful and juicy through out, and the crunch is great. I got the medium and even though I eat hot peppers every day it was still plenty spicy. I'll definitely be back.

This restaurant is new to Eugene and new to me. I came in after seeing a vegan hot 'chicken' style sandwich on their menu with my dad. My dad got the regular chicken sandwich, and I got the vegan one. I was so impressed by my sandwich! The staff home makes the vegan burger patty themselves and is extremely friendly. We talked to the owner about how he got started up and had a great conversation. He ended up giving my dad free chicken gizzards after they talked about it, which was so kind! The place is on the small side and doesn't look like much from the outside, but is so worth it. There's some seating inside and some outside, with street parking. I loved talking to the friendly staff and learning some of the history. Everything was a great experience! The price was great for a filling, delicious vegan meal. I think this is one of my favorite new vegan friendly restaurants in Eugene!
