One of the oldest bars in the entire area that's still going strong! Hell my Dad and my grandfather even when he was young was a regular here. Use to be rather a small bar but they bought the other side and the place is looking amazing with now 3 times the space if not more with just as expanded back area! I don't go as often as I use to but I highly recommend this place any day of the week to anyone old or new to the area. Located downtown by campus on 13th and Patterson. Awesome staff, great atmosphere, good fun times even with karaoke, and all the free popcorn and peanuts you can eat to soak up those drinks lol. Keep up the great work Max's!

Not a safe place for darker-skinned people! The entitlement I received from the staff, specifically the karaoke staff, was diabolical. The two employees who made a point to skip over me when I was next on the mic, and then made it a way bigger deal than it needed to be. When my friend asked why they were singling me out, they played victim, shedding 'white girl tears,' and had five guys rush us for no reason; it was very dangerous. And could have ended badly. Overall, I was disappointed, and I would recommend going somewhere else.

I won’t forget this place because your floors are sticky in your “pub” and your overweight cook person for SURE did tell us it was beer cheese and me and my lady don’t drink we needed a late night snack after a long day don’t let your own arrogance get in front of the truth there is also weird piss smells where the patio is and your chef didnt use gloves when preparing our food bad experiance🇺🇸🍔

We had a reservation for a company Christmas party last Friday. No prime rib the Chef for got to cook it. That is their special on Friday and Saturday. The weight staff was good but the cook was not helping them any. The food was not good .
Literally loved everything about it, bartender and staff were so chill and the food was amazing much love to the chef

3 stars for age relevance. 3 stars for: I'm 30 and saw good food reviews on a Saturday night. Service was good which I didn't expect going in given it kinda looked like a packed frat house party with everyone elbowing for the drink line. If you want food, maybe try a Wednesday at around 1pm? Pizza bites are definitely totinos pizza rolls. Sliders were good, I'd do a call in order for em again.
P.S. bonus points to the recently turned 25 y/o tender who makes excellent Green Teas.
Parking: Google maps got me super close...to the rear entrance that you can't go through because Stone Cold says you can't. Don't drive, walk from somewhere.

Worst thing ever left credit card to run a tab. After some time horrible food I finished my beer and asked for the check and my credit card back. They said that the card was not behind the bar. Woke up the next morning with diaharrhea from the horrible food. Checked my bank and there is a $75 charge pending. Since I had to pay cash when my card became lost. I smelled a rat ?.
