Ojisan is a cool spot with an aesthetic looking bar and wood paneling. Great atmosphere and playlist with some very tasteful reggae (love stick figure). The miso ramen was good - no complaints. Would come again for a friends’ dinner out or a date night
I ordered the chicken Karrage?? With rice and Mac salad. It was great! Really great! I liked it a lot. I don’t really care for their teriyaki sauce. They have a nice spicy mayo that’s good. Another ginger shoyu type broth that I liked. I’m not a big fan of their Ramen, however. Their broth has an overwhelmingly gamey/burnt taste, and I just didn’t care for it. Their pork bellies are amazing! Overall, I’d like to try more things on their menu, including their Tempura....
Service and atmosphere were wonderful! But. I was really hopeful for their vegan ramen, since this is a ramen place I figured they'd have to do it well. I was mistaken. I'm guessing whoever made their vegan ramen recipe is a meat eater who thinks vegan food is supposed to taste mediocre. Most of the vegetables tasted like they came from a can.
