Very nice waiter. My friend and I split the cauliflower salad and the standard salad. They were fresh and fragrant. The cauliflower salad dressing was a bit sweet for my taste. The lasagna was brothy with the flavors of fennel and basil - methinks. The meat in it was really tender and flavorful. We weren’t in the mood for pizza - maybe next time!

I felt like I was in NYC rather than downtown Eugene. It's a cozy (and rather warm place) with an amazing atmosphere and even tastier food. The open kitchen concept is ?
I'm already looking forward to going back. Even if you're not an anchovies fan, I highly recommend sfincione.

Really good food, really weird service (staff generally lukewarm. Not rude but not very nice either). Kinda weird that the place is dressed as up as a nice place with nice food but the ordering is qr code and the water self service. Don't love that. But that's how they do things and their food is truly excellent. They do have really bad espresso though. Having illy pods in a Nespresso type machine does not cut it for a real deal Italian joint (which this is).

What I didn't like; ordering from a QR code. I'm old school and like a menu. Other than that minor inconvenience The food is excellent, the service great. I'm not sure how they flip tables in anything under two hours. You could sit there and have wine and food with your friends and forget about the world around you. We had a bottle of wine, appetizers and a pizza to share. The food comes out quickly and in the appropriate amount of time to not make us feel rushed or wondering if they forgot about us. It just happened to be a great weather evening as well. I'm not sure how they managed that, but kudos for that experience. Well worth the visit.

Simply, the best Italian food I’ve had. The food they serve has spoiled me to the extent I’m now obligated to fly 2,600 miles to Eugene when I crave Italian. I hope to see one open in Tampa Florida soon - it would crush.

Very nice menu and atmosphere. Quick service and the food was delicious. We had the gnocchi, sausage and mushroom pizza, and fried olives. Definitely recommend for date night.

Amazing!! My husband and I are in town for two days and decided to go here for dinner last night, Wow!! Checked every box! The atmosphere, the service, the food/flavors, so so good!! Jeanine was so helpful from the start, explained how the process worked and gave us some insight on the most popular items and also what she likes, loved that! She also checked in on us a few times and when we told her we were going to Yachats this week she gave us recommendations for places over there, so sweet! We had the Salad DOP, shared a bottle of the bianco, the Bosco pizza and had to try the zeppole. Holy moly the Bosco pizza is one of the best pizzas I’ve had in a long time! The Dough is so yummy and the flavors are so dang good, actual wild mushrooms! We enjoyed every single bite! Salad was so refreshing, the wine delicious and the zeppole with the lemon curd, Yum!! If you’re reading the reviews of where to go for dinner right now, this is it!!

My fiancé and I moved to Eugene in March and had heard rave reviews about Osteria DOP, with locals claiming it has the best pizza and Italian fusion food in the city.

Upon arrival, we were greeted by the host, who informed us that while the main tables were full and there was a wait, seats were available at the side bar. We quickly moved to the side bar, located across from the chef’s table, and were introduced to the ordering process. We were advised to order one dish at a time and keep the tab open on our phones to avoid dishes arriving out of order. Soon after, we noticed some seats opening up at the chef’s table and were promptly accommodated, possibly thanks to the owner's attention.

It was refreshing to see the owner actively engaging with customers in a personal manner.

We started with cocktails: a Cello Spritz and an Americano, both crafted to perfection and served promptly. For our appetizer, we had the Suppli. As fans of Sicilian arancini, we found the Romanian version to be a delightful twist. The Suppli featured a perfect outer crunch with a beautifully blended tomato risotto and smoky mozzarella, enhanced by chunky salt flakes—truly mouthwatering.

Next, we tried the Melon and Tomato Salad. This unique pairing of flavors, complemented by chunky Parmesan and fresh herbs, was a revelation.

For our main courses, we ordered the Rigatoni and the Pomodoro Ciliegino. The Rigatoni featured high-quality noodles with a distinctive white shade, highlighting their superior quality. The Pomodoro Ciliegino was divine, with gold tomatoes, olive oil, basil, mozzarella, and Pecorino creating a perfect harmony of flavors.

Though we didn’t indulge in dessert, witnessing the crafting of fresh cannolis made us regret not saving room. I’ll definitely be asking for some to-go next time.

Overall, the experience was exceptional. I understand why locals hold Osteria DOP in such high regard. The ambiance, service, and food are all top-tier, surpassing expectations for a pizza and Italian spot. I look forward to returning with friends to explore more of the menu.

Excellent food, accomplished, helpful staff. Very scant and tight seating within the restaurant, music amped up, makes conversation difficult. Worth the visit still!
