“Good service but wasn't to pleased with my food. There's also a guy that works here that came out that I watched verbally attack a homeless man who was minding his own business on the sidewalk. That made me never want to return. But knowing he is just one person and not he company I will come back.“
“So I tried to redeem my points by ordering a free pizza on the app. Got all the way to the end, hit "place order" & got a pop up saying "something went wrong." I kept trying but same thing happened every time.
I just happened to lose my wallet so I literally had no $ or cards to pay for anything. My son & I wanted dinner so i figured I'd use my points to order a pizza. When it wouldn't let me, I was pretty upset.
Contacted customer service thru the online chat & the agent could not grasp what my actual issue was. They kept saying ithey'd help me submit a request for a refund when I kept telling them I couldn't place an order so I wasn't asking for a refund! Eventually I got frustrated & gave up.
Then I called the customer service hotline. They took my info & said someone would contact me in the next 3 days. I wanted them to help me find a way to order a pizza using my points right then, not 3 days later. They're my points, I spent the $ & earned them, I should be able to use them whenever I want. Since fault was with their app, not on me, I asked if I could get a credit for a pizza or at least a discount or something so I could order it that day.. they refused to offer any kind of resolution or make the situation right. All they'd do was say someone would contact me within 3 days to help resolve my problem.
Absolutely ridiculous! Apparently customer loyalty means nothing to corporate anymore & "the customer is always right" is no longer a motto for these multi million dollar businesses. What's 1 free pizza to them, really?
So after hanging up even more frustrated than before, I happened to check my order history & realized that evidently an order had been placed using my points earlier. I had no idea it went thru, since I got an error message that said "something went wrong".. By the time I figured this out, it had been several hours since the order was placed. We were still hungry, so we decided to go pick it up anyway.
We got to the River Rd Pizza Hut expecting an old, lukewarm pizza sitting under a heat lamp, which is exactly what was waiting for us.. BUT..
The guy at the counter realized how long it had been sitting there & immediately insisted on making us a whole new pizza right then. He was so nice & kind & we didn't even have to ask or explain why we were so late picking it up. I was so relieved & grateful that we were gonna get dinner after all & it wouldn't be a cold 3 hour old pizza!
I just can't believe that the one who gave me good customer service & was willing to help me at all was the hourly employee at the counter, who probably only makes minimum wage. He wasn't even at fault for anything, but was the only one willing to make it right!
The 2 times I contacted "customer service" I received no help, no empathy, no effort was made to compromise, they never offered any sort of accomodation or resolution, heck - the 1st person I talked to wasn't even listening to me when I explained (several times) what the problem was! Smh
These huge corporations that make billions in profit each year need to realize how LUCKY they are to have good hourly employees who treat their customers right. They're the ONLY reason customers come back.
Cuz let me tell u, if it weren't for the excellent experience I had with the store employee at the River Rd location, I would NEVER give my business to Pizza Hut again.
The worst part is, the ones who benefit from the millions these companies make aren't the ones who deserve it. The CEOs, corporate office employees, etc. are paid ridiculously high salaries, given huge bonuses, get regular raises, generous paid vacations, the best benefits packages, all the perks, etc. Yet they're so greedy, their hourly employees who actually work with the customers are paid minimum wage or close to it, get s“
“We ordered the new pizza melts. We got the meat variety, five kinds of meat and a nice amount of cheese and sauce. I ordered on the phone and I was told it would be 15 minutes until it would be ready. I got there in 15 minutes and it was completely ready to go. It was hot and very delicious! We did take out and the person behind the counter was beyond polite. I will definitely return and try one of the other flavors just to see which one I like best. It was a very enjoyable lunch.“
