The store director Marc Carlson is so bad at his job. He's rude and he's completely disrespectful and all together a giant douche. Even one of the employees agreed with me and laughed with me about it. I wouldn't support this location. There's so many other Safeway's and grocery stores in and around salem anyway. Lets support the ones with friendly management and positive vibes. That's the way business works best. Not the other way around.

dirty store inside and out that never answers the phone. when you do finally get through they are rude. I spend $1200 a month here but will no longer shop at Safeway.

Safeway offers everything I need to get my groceries. It's close by and the staff is great. Coming from a town where the grocery stores are hectic this is amazing. I always come to Safeway to get everything I need.

Currently they are struggling to maintain paper products & other items. It's not their fault because folks are over buying.

Customer service is great. Convenient location. Fresh food. Lots of ready to eat options. Always great prices with club card!! Starbucks coffee inside a plus as well!!

Arrogant management... Found a Range Rover with a trailer parked in the fire lane right outside front doors of store (also blocking entirety of sidewalk - a violation of the Americans with Disability Act). And wouldn't you know it, it belonged to the Store Director (he announced himself as such as I was photographing his wonderful parking job). Plenty of other places to park it.

The Customer Service I received at this location in Eugene, Oregon was fantastic! It was early morning hours and I'm staying here at my Air B&B. I'm from California and needed some items to store at my lodge. I had a tough time finding my way around the store and every single employee was helpful and was able to make reccommendations! More specifically, Robert from the Meat Dept. Robert saw me lost and looking up and down the aisles for product. He asked if I needed help finding anything? I asked him about coffee filters, he left his meat counter to come over and assist me. I knew it wasn't his department, but he still walked me to the item. He was cheerful about it and asked if I needed anything else. Please acknowledge Robert and thank him for his excellent service.

I stopped at Safeway today to pick up lettuce and some flowers forMother's Day. Found out that there was only a single checkout line operating and the waiting line extended halfway down the product aisle. No "3's A Crowd" announcement at this store, apparently!

Pharmacist is rude and arrogant. Trying to get a prescription filled is like pulling teeth. One of the pharmacists didn't know the difference between 2 different medications. Said there were no refills when it clearly states on the bottle there are 2 refills. When you call them to speak to a person they hang up on you. They're terrible!

This is a good store for quick pick-ups and a Starbucks fix. Do not waste more than 10-15 minutes shopping here. Head to an Albertsons, Fred Meyer, or Target instead. The chaotic environment and rude employees make shopping here upsetting. The employee that I have not had a decent encounter with is Natasha (sorry for the name dropping). Very recently, I went into the store for dinner items and we had a very uncomfortable conversation. She had a dry greeting and made no conversation. I could also probably count how many times she rolled her eyes. A few of the workers at the express lanes also act like you are bothering them when the computer is acting up. It is not our fault your systems require additional help. Do not waste your time. Again, last-minute stops only :)

This is for the deli and the problem is not with the employees but the managers who trained the employees. I don't think the employees have been properly trained on how to make sandwiches properly and what to do with request such as toasting it. An employee put the condiments(mayo, mustard) on the meat instead of the bread. When I asked for it to be toasted, the deli employee wrapped it in paper packaging before putting in the oven for toasting. That's not how toasting works. So I think the managers could do a better job with their employees. FYI I use to work at a Safeway deli so I know how bad of a job it can be at times. It's the managers job to make sure their employees know what to do

My wife and I came into the Safeway Bakery desperate for an emergency Wedding Cake for my brother-in-law and his bride. Bryce and Sam went above and beyond in making a fresh custom made wedding cake in 20 minutes! It was decorated beautifully and complete with airbrushed flowers and decorations. Bryce and Sam went above and beyond and when the bride saw the cake it brought tears to her eyes. AMAZING! These two bakers deserve a raise!

I just had an amazing experience with a cashier named Tom, he was very friendly and kind while still being fast and helpful. I hope this guy gets a raise, he deserves it.
