Great cocktails and always a wonderful local band playing, highly recommend for the atmosphere and the people. The food is lovely, not like your typical barfood. Always freshly made and many options contain vegetables!! The cookies are also wonderful. (Ask for one hot, and it might just make your night.)
I was there to perform a short set of poetry. Well received. Before that I was planning to eat there with a friend. I ordered the Reuben. You know what? I had made Reuben's in a Kosher Style Deli for about 20 years. Sam Bond's Rachel (Pastrami) was close to what we used to make in Charlotte, NC. Good job. The Mac and cheese was okay-fine.
If there was a 10 star option, I'd mark it. This is my favorite bar in eugene, and one of my favorite bars period. And I have been all over this country and worked in many different clubs and bars. The food is amazing I think. The Mac and cheese, the pizza, even the salads are top notch and made like a chef would. Always some good drinks on tap. And you have some world class bartenders here who can mix and create like no other. One of which even got bartender of the year...
