I tried to separate rolls here, and my partner got their salmon bento. I loved one of the rolls I got with the smoked salmon, but the second roll was not as flavorful despite the toppings. The rolls were not very sturdy, either, and fell apart easily. My partner enjoyed the bento, with the only complaint being the texture of the tempura on the salmon being a bit off. Overall the meal was enjoyable, the service was fantastic, and the restaurant is very cute, but it wasn't the best Japanese spot I've ever been to. We aren't local, so it's probably not somewhere we'll make a point of visiting again.

NOT let the good reviews fool you. We thought this would be a great place but we were misled. Our server was very nice and understanding but they were the only enjoyable part. Our appetizers took 30 minutes to come out (5 tiny pieces of chicken in the karaage btw) and the sushi roll was so loosely wrapped it fell apart if you poked it. Our entrees took another 45 and 2/3 of them were cold. We asked for them to be sent back, but 20 minutes later with no replacements in sight we canceled. Restaurant had 2 other tables and should not have been dealing with issues like this.

Poki salad was served with no dressing and wilted, poor tasting warm lettuce. I’ve had this dish before here and this time it was sub par at best. Service was very, very slow despite empty tables. We waited over 45 minutes for our order. It’s was very hot in the restaurant making for an uncomfortable eating experience especially since we had to wait so long for food. They didn’t charge us for the salad luckily. Our server was very kind and apologetic. I was very disappointed and will be reluctant to return. Such a bummer.

2. Deceptive business practices. They tried to trick me into buying something for $50 and tried to confuse me by implying it was $20 -and- the pictures on their menu show more fish by double than you get.

This is one of my go-to places, because sushi Asian food is my favorite, and this place is super affordable. The sushi is excellent, and very fair priced. We tried two different ramen soup dishes and they did not taste good.. weird recipe or something maybe.

The smell of the place hits you as soon as you walk in. I was with a friend and didn’t want to make a fuss so I stuck with eating here.
We were sat and brought water in dirty glasses - I asked for a Diet Coke in a to-go cup to avoid the glasses. Waitress brings Diet Coke in a glass anyway.
No problem - I ask for a Diet Coke in a to go cup. I watch the waitress pour my Coke from the glass into the cup. I tell her I want a fresh drink - she said that this is “good enough.”
We were served lukewarm-warm edamame in a DIRT-STAINED BOWL. Unfortunately, by the time I asked to cancel the entire order, the food was ready. Against my judgement, I ate the food. Was not bad, not fantastic. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE//ENVIRONMENT.

Ella is genuinely such a sweet person a true testament to doing what you can with what you got.
She was the only server when we came and she did better than what one could expect being the only one serving in a packed restaurant.
I’ll give 5 stars because attitude and effort will get you a long way !!

I’ve been here before and expected better. Service was ok. The waitress did a good job but she was the only one for the whole restaurant. Sushi was a mix: some great, good, ok & bad. Our cooked food came out well before the sushi. They refunded the food that didn’t taste right. I hope improvements are made.
