We made a reservation for 16 people and they did not sit us together. They were rude and disrespectful we didn't feel welcomed at all. I aksed several times we we could move the tables or sit somewhere we could all be together. The reason why we couldn't sit together is it would mess up ourFeng shui. They forgot my friends food and didn't try to make it right with her what so ever they rushed us out of the restaurant they didn't check on us I never felt so disappointed at a restaurant before I was surprised how rude everyone was especially because we had a big group they made money from us could of made more but the treatment we got was so messed up in so many levels. The Manager was a complete douche bag to me the whole time.

The remodel after the fire is definitely worth seeing! Elegant, classy, and impressive! The views of the river and bike path were great, the cocktails were fun, and the food was absolutely delicious! Top notch service too!

I have not eaten here in many years, previously I felt it was just ok and other than the riverfront setting probably not worth it. After the rebuilding and with a new chef and menu I figured it was worth trying again. Overall I think we had a pretty good experience. Keep in mind they have only recently re-opened so I'm sure there are some kinks being worked out, but our dinner did go smoothly.
The decor is very nice, modern and warm, though it was also quite warm inside (it was a 95 degree day). The cocktail I had was excellent, and our crab dip appetizer was good (not the best I've ever had, but it had a good bit of crab and nice cheeses). I had the brick oven chicken which was perfectly cooked and flavorful. Others in our group had the smash burger, chicken sandwich, and steak frites and all were pleased with their meals.
I felt prices were reasonable for the location as well. Sandwiches were available in the $20 range, entrees ranged from $24 - $38. Yes it's not a budget meal, but give you can spend $12 at Wendy's these days or get a $25 steak at Applebees, it's not really that expensive.
Overall I think everything was pretty solid and worth the prices. It's not high end dining, but it's a step above chain restaurants in a nice setting.

The food was decent. The waiter was hustling and the issues were not her fault, but they got so much wrong. No one came to our table for at least 15 minutes. We got some water dropped off. Our drinks didn’t arrive until after our appetizers and one of our appetizers never arrived at all. The drinks were great. I feel sorry for the staff. If you’re going to charge top dollar, for food and service, you’d better deliver. We had a reservation, but it seemed like we caught them by surprise. It would’ve been an okay soft open, if only that had been the case. It is a lovely space but they can’t get a pass on everything wrong just because it’s a nice space.

The best part of a disastrous meal at Sweetwaters was the view of the main stem of the Willamette River. The service reflected extremely poor management, the drinks took 45 minutes, and the food was subpar by a large margin. We didn’t get one of our appetizers, but we did get someone else’s plate with cold French fries. I pity the people who come there tomorrow after a Duck home game. What a waste of a delightful space.

Great job with the remodel but dinner was overpriced and underwhelming. Halibut was overcooked. Crab dip was unflavorful and barely provided any bread. The last straw was that one of our party got sick that evening after dinner. I wish as much attention was put into the kitchen staff as it was into the remodelers.

The fried chicken sandwich is worth the trip. It had a hot honey sauce that set it apart from other chicken sandwiches I have had. Also, the views of the river from both inside and outside are fantastic

Wow! Talk about reopening with a bang! Sweet Waters is a whole new experience now. Only being reopened 4 days and they are truly on to something. The new layout, decor and overall ambience is elevated to say the least. No longer dated, very contemporary, with both beautiful and cozy touches.
The service was top notch, warm, inviting and attentive without being intrusive. The manager Tom was very friendly and knowledgeable.
We were seated on the patio with a great view of the river.
-The food- one of the best meals we have had in a long time. We tried the Salmon Corndogs, incredible. The calamari was perfectly cooked, the crispy sweet pepper garnish was excellent. I had the Scallop entree and my husband had the Halibut. They were both beautifully presented, cooked perfectly and packed full of flavor. Finally we had the Marion berry crisp a la mode, the perfect way to end a lovely meal on a summer evening on the patio.
We definitely recommend it and we will be back again soon!

Wasn't Feelin' it
Food was just ok. Had company from Minnesota. They were all excited about dining by the river. Patio closed. Overall a disappointment.

The restaurant has clearly gone downhill. My guest had a Cobb salad, which she describe as adequate. I had a Reuben: the bread and meat were both burned. Worse, in the restaurant at tables were several large dogs owned by multiple guests. Unhealthy restaurant. The service was mediocre; for example, the waitress forgot to serve the requested drink and never apologized.
The food is always delicious, the view is absolutely breathtaking when you sit outside by the river, and the services excellent. You have more than one person waiting on you. I would highly recommend Sweet
