I kept skipping this place and thought tonight I would give it a go finally because I had been meaning to go for years but never did. I don’t know what to say other than it was very underwhelming and partially burnt. I know everyone loves this place and maybe it was an off night but I dunno if I will come back. 17 bucks for a small and it’s burnt just leaves a bad taste in my mouth…literally.

Alright I’m a bit experienced when it comes to making pizzas, heck I makem every day at my house, an I figured come on down and check this place out since I come pass this by every once in a while, seemed pretty authentic, so I go in about 1-2 o’clock, and it’s one of those places where you pick your own toppings, I start picking em and they immediately recognized my game. These fellas were real nice to talk to, just about pizzas an the history o the restaurant, I told ‘em I was gonna get it to go, but he tells me, I won’t wrap it for ya cuz I know you’re gonna wanna add some more, and he nodes to a little table with the Parmesan and other seasonings and boy was he right, he also pulled a few little extra things for me like with the garlic. The fellas running this joint have a great spirit and sure do know their stuff. Only thing I’d say could be improved is I think the ingredients themselves could use a little more punch, I think basically everything could use a little more salt, especially the sausage, if you get the write banana peppers, the kind that’ll make ya pucker those will go excellently on a pizza, I highly recommend it as an option, maybe add cholula sauce or something like it on to the menu. Well I gotta get back to my homework, but in short I think this place is worth checking out, the serving sizes are great, but maybe the food could pack a little more punch. Also the sauce was pretty good.

Ordered a pepperoni slice and the guy picked it up with his bare hands right in front of me. There was a heavyset man training a new girl, she was great but he definitely could’ve been more respectful to her while customers were present. The same man also made sure to confirm that we tipped, not sure if you don’t pay him enough or if he just feels entitled to others money. Giving two stars because the inside is pretty cool. Probably won’t be back.

Massive slices for massive prices but damn does it taste good! Couldn't be happier with the pizza here and the garlic knots are something I would kill for. 10/10 experience every time and they even have punch cards.
Being originally from NYC I am always looking for similar style pizza wherever I go. This place did not disappoint. Grateful for this place in Eugene. Even the locals I am staying with agreed that this will be there new pizza spot

Great lunch spot for pizza by the slice and a few garlic knots on the side! I've eaten here many of times over the years and have never had an issue, good pizza every time. The inside dining area is small, but there's usually a couple tables outside or you can always grab it to-go.

Sy's is an intuition and I have fond memories of going there when I went to school at UO. Is it the best pizza, no. Is it the best atmosphere, not really. Will I go out of my way to go back there whenever I'm in Eugene, absolutely! So many places that I loved during my time living in Eugene are gone and I'm thankful that Sy's is still standing.
