Really, it's 4½ stars. The food is dependably awesome, as is the service (normally). Even when the place is packed, they somehow manage to get food out to the table quickly (usually). However, when it is packed the noise level is formidable; hence the ½ star off.

I cannot think of a time that I've had a meh dish there. Too spicy, maybe, as their medium level is more like a medium hot.... so choose your spice conservatively! If you like it 🔥 you'll get 🔥!

Large enough portions for a lunch the next day, especially if you order appetizers. Nice menu selections and options. Ta Ra Rin has been knocking it out of the park for as long as they've been at this location.

I’ve been a regular at Ta Ra Rin for several years and every visit reminds me why I keep coming back. The food is always fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented — exactly what you’d hope for from a great Thai restaurant.

But what really sets this place apart is the outstanding service, especially from the front-of-house team led by Tawny and Carlos working from behind the bar and out on the floor. Whether you’re sitting at the bar, dining in or taking it to-go, they go above and beyond to make every guest feel welcome. I always leave feeling recognized and genuinely appreciated — not just as a customer, but as a person.

Tawny and Carlos are the heart of an operation that's full of heart: warm, attentive, and clearly committed to creating a memorable experience for everyone who walks through the door. Their leadership and care shine through in the whole service team.

It’s rare to find a place where both the food and hospitality are this consistent and high quality. Ta Ra Rin is a true Eugene favorite, and I feel lucky to have it as a go-to spot. Highly recommend!

First time at this location. Food, service and atmosphere are excellent! I almost always have some type of Pad Thai and Thai Ice Tea. My hubby always tries something different but we have never been disappointed at any of the locations.

Good food, very good service with decent atmosphere.

Pineapple fried rice is sweet and loaded with cashew and raisins.

Curry was little spicy but tasty.

Got take out. Food was fine, but overpriced. I get rising costs, but two pieces of tofu in an $18 quart of soup is a bit over the top.

I'm not the biggest on many cuisines outside of my favorites. Thai is one of my lesser known and therefore I never pick dishes I enjoy. Every sing dish I've had here has been delicious and a personal favorite within Asian foods. Very happy with the service. The atmosphere is relaxing and comfortable. Perfect for a spicy duck dish enjoyed with friends or ones self

Hello, I ate lunch with 3 dear friends a few days ago. Our bill was $84.00 so obviously not cheap. I ordered sticky rice, and it's a good thing I was paying attention. There were two small pieces of aluminum foil, in my rice as well as a larger size piece that might have caused damage. I won't stand to think of anyone else, having to experience that. So I decided to post a review, rather than say anything at the time. I will appreciate a complimentary meal for my friends and I, however.
