Absolutely amazing atmosphere, great selection of teas.

Always wonderful to come here! So many lovely teas to choose from (there's a legit menu) and the staff are super knowledgeable with helping you pick the right one. It can get a bit loud when super busy, but they have lots of seating. Not a lot of snacks available.

This is by far the best tea shop I’ve ever been to and if you know me, you know this shop. The people on staff go out of their way to get to know their regulars and make the tea with love. Soothing atmosphere and music as well.

Cute decor but we went there for the matcha and frankly it was kind of bitter. Their biggest size needs to be bigger. Staff wasn’t UNFRIENDLY but not the best barista energy I’ve ever encountered and wait time was long. Overall, as charming as the place was I don’t know that I would be back as I just didn’t enjoy the drink.

Wonderful

Portal Tea has a lot going for it in terms of atmosphere—the space is cute and cozy, with a laid-back vibe that's perfect for sitting down with a good cup of tea and catching up with a friend. The tea itself was delicious, with a solid variety to choose from and well-crafted blends.

That said, the overall experience was a bit mixed. The staff didn’t seem particularly welcoming or attentive. When we needed the restroom code, it was difficult to get their attention, and they barely looked up from what they were doing. Once we did get access, the restroom was messy and not well-maintained, which was disappointing in an otherwise nicely designed space.

If you’re going for the tea and a comfortable place to sit, it’s worth a visit—but the customer service and cleanliness could definitely use some attention to make the experience feel more complete.

Plentiful tea options

This place has a very nice atmosphere and the tea is good. I will say though, that on a few occasions the tea has been slightly over brewed. It doesn't happen often with black or oolong teas, but green teas definitely shoulder that extended steep time making it a bit bitter to drink, especially with how little honey they put in when asked for. Overall one of the better places to get tea, but I would suggest sticking to the darker blends of teas or their boba.

Best tea shop I've been to! They've got an extensive tea list and fun mugs to buy. I love that you can buy any tea in bulk at the store front. The more you get, the less it is per ounce. They've got very high-quality teas. The atmosphere is very cozy. It is a perfect place to sit with a friend & catch up.
