I went in here a long time ago. The food is OK. My husband ordered a hot chocolate, and there was tons and tons of hair in it. Buddy’s diner is much better food and more friendly people. Buddy’s diner is on Coburg Road in Eugene.

I have been a patron of Terry's diner for over 10 years now since I moved to Eugene. In the past year I have been involved in starting up a new Cub Scout unit. Our Pack leadership has been working to find a good place to have our committee meetings, and maybe a good meal. I had stopped in a couple of weeks ago to speak to the restaurant staff about using their place for our meetings. The waitress was very friendly and excited about the prospect of supporting us by giving us a place to meet. I arrived early today to make sure there was space for us to meet and get some tables arranged. Had great conversation with the very friendly staff. After I got set up and prepped for our upcoming meeting, some woman came up to me and said that she had overheard me speaking to the waitress staff about coming back for future meetings. She then asked me how often we would be coming in, I told her once a month. She then made the following points very clear to me: -She could not guarantee that there would be table space for us to meet. -Even if there were tables available, no guarantee we could all be sat together. -No guarantee that there will be sufficient staff on hand to handle a large group. -and if there were not enough service staff, we would be turned away and told to go somewhere else. -If we were sat together she could not guarantee that all of our food would be served at the same time. When I told her that the waitress I had spoken to was very excited to help support our Scouting unit. I was not aware that was not true. She responded with and excitable statement that she is willing to support scouting but I had to be aware of the above. I told her that the service was not an issue as not all adults would be ordering food. The look on her face shooting daggers was surprising as she waved her hand at the space I was in and made a comment about needing to pay for stuff and not supporting non-paying customers. Of the 8 people who were at our meeting tonight she had 7 paying customers. I have no idea who this lady was, but she made it perfectly clear that we were not wanted there, we were not welcome back and to go find someplace else to take up space. First time in all my years in scouting that I have been treated in such a rude manner.

We both had the light (Senior) version of eggs scrambled with mushrooms, onions and spinach. So yummy. Served with your choice of one slice of toast or coffee cake. It's our favorite and we order it every time we come. We had a new waitress today who accidentally rang us up for the full version of the breakfast (3 eggs instead of 2, a large order of hash browns added and two slices of toast instead of one). We had her remove the hash browns, but not much she could do about the rest so we took the extra home. We were only charged for the smaller version and she was very apologetic that she pressed the computer key for the first version she saw. Overall, no harm done, and the food was great as usual. The diner is a retro lover's dream, full of memorabilia and kitsch. Everywhere you look has something fun to examine. Prices are reasonable, waitresses are friendly and the portions are generous. I'd definitely recommend this place.

The waitress did not write my order down, thus got it wrong! It was a bit flavorless compared to what I remember. I also had to remind her to get the drink I ordered (that again was not written down)! This place has gone downhill a bit....

If your looking for that perfect old school dinner vibe, Teri's Diner is where you want to be at! Pies is a rotating glass case, back to back booths, amazing service waitresses that know their restaurant, menu and food, and cooks inside out, clean restroom. I wasn't there for the food, but the music was comfortable not blaring and I met with a person who cut their teeth at and retired from Nasa Science and Engineering. We had met at the March and couldn't talk out there but had some ideas we wanted to share with each other. Great atmosphere for sharing intellectual and ebay conversation. I had already eaten but will be returning this weekend for a meal because of the enticing plates of food that passed by! A must experience!

Terrys is nearby, so dropped in for Breakfast yesterday. Staff was great, got me seated and had water and a menu quickly.
It smelled heavenly in there... and I asked a server passing by what that smell was. Apparently it was the french toast batter... lots of cinnamon in it. I was tempted! :) But maybe next visit.
I order the Chicken Fried Steak breakfast (because I love sausage gravy!)
It was excellent... one of the better chicken fried steaks I have had in a number of years. Eggs were perfect over medium as requested, and hash browns were crispy. Sourdough toast was yummy too.
Can't go wrong with Terry's base on this visit! Cool decor too... real diner vibe!

We won't be back. Worst service ever. We waited at least 20 minutes. No water, didn't take our order. They just ignored you. What a disappointment!
