No matter which places I try--even if they're good--I always end back up at The Bier Stein. Between the friendly and knowledgeable staff, the wide selection of brews, and the truly phenomenal bratwurst, this place has my unending loyalty and appreciation. We always say we'll stop in for a beer or two, but we can never manage to leave without ordering the top-notch fries, which come with a zesty ketchup.
My only wish: with food as great as theirs, I'm surprised they don't offer dessert! If they had cheesecake or molten chocolate cake, I would go nowhere else for sweets.
If you haven't already, try their fries and bratwurst. Stop in during one of their fun event nights, and try out something new from their cooler. You'll be glad you did!

Come for the beer, stay for the scene! If the gigantic wall of beer cases kept at optimum temperatures does not wow you, check out the digital readout of their current beers on tap with a real-time report of keg levels. These guys take their fun seriously! Pilsners, stouts, IPAs, stuff I’ve never heard of, they literally have it all. And the food! Definitely can recommend the schnitzel sandwich and the meatloaf sandwich, and the gigantic freshly baked pretzel. Amid all of it are kind servers, happy patrons, and of course, Duck fans ??. Family friendly, clean, and inviting, a must for any Eugene visit!

Good food, although the price point is higher than most beer pubs, the plates are HUGE. I always order one plate for 2 adults. There is one pool table and TONS of beer to choose from. They have coloring for kids as well. Staff is always very friendly, they do have a small free parking lot.
Good Food, Great Beer, Nice Vibes, staff could be a little more attentive, however they are super friendly! Outside of that it's a great place to eat drink and be merry!

Very cool bar. Hosted the Buckeye crew in town for the game. Great to see so much red out in Oregon! Sooo many choices for beer! Just wish the To-go register was converted that night to allow on site sales.

I would give more stars if I could. Me and 15 of my friends were in town for the legendary OSU Oregon game this weekend and reserved space with the Bier Stein many months in advance knowing the OSU fans will be traveling well and we want to make sure we had the space to enjoy dinner together. I worked with Ali to make the reservation and she kept me up to speed leading up to the reservation and was very fun to work with.
We had a successful dinner amidst a sea of OSU fans, enjoyed the fabulous food and drink, and kicked off a very fun weekend. I'm going to be scheduling our group dinner here again for 2025. Thank you Bier Stein!
