Decided to try out Davis Restaurant & Bar for a date night out in Eugene. Overall a good experience and the presentation of the food was gorgeous. Service was a little slow but not too painful.
The steak was cooked to perfection and pared extremely well with the greens and potatoes. Typically it comes with sauce but the restaurant was accommodating and will to leave it off (a personal preference).
The salmon too was cooked to perfection and all elements of the plate had bold flavors. Personally when all together the boldness clashes but individually it was delicious.
For desert was the hazelnut tart. It looked so good I forgot to take a picture before the first bite. Definitely one of the best desserts I have had in a while.

The beer cheese has too much flour. The shrimp and grits is way too fishy. The new cook NO GOOD …just threw away the cheese sauce and shrimp

I've enjoyed Davis for many years, until last night. The seating host was unfriendly, and didn't get us water. Our server was fine. My food was awful: I ordered my burger medium and it came very well done, on a cold bun, with stuff on it that was not in the description. It was stacked so high (seriously, nobody can bite into a 5 inch high burger) as to be ridiculous. The atmosphere was dull and lifeless. I'm not sure what has happened to what was a good place for a decent meal, but I won't go back.

They need a new Playlist. Same music EVERY weekend. Or at the very least lower your cover charge to $2.

Excellent experience! Great service, good recommendations. Gnocchi with the added shrimp was superb. The deviled eggs appetizer was great. Brussel sprouts with cranberries, a new experience, very good.

My first time visiting this Eugene institution. My friend Mari brought me here as a welcome dinner since I am visiting from abroad.

Food is really on point and it’s immediately recognizable that the ingredients come from local producers and are high quality.

I’m a certified sommelier and was really impressed by their champagne selection. As we were celebrating all the great things life brings us, and catching up with old friends and new, we got a 2017 vintage Thierry Triolet and it packed all the brioche notes, tang and elegance of a Blanc de Blanc.

We began with the chef’s board- cheese and meats garnished with pickled veggies, nuts and preserves. I learn that all the meats are cured and prepared in house. I like that one of the meats was served warm- super tender pork that had melt in your mouth fat 🤤

Shrimp and Grits, the salmon, and the tuna crudo with strawberry made more a seafood feast that I need not critique- all well dialed in.

Perhaps I would like a little more acidity in the crudo, but I think my mind is just imagining it were ceviche.

We had crème brûlée and coffee to finish.

Service was great and the place really feel homey and welcoming.

Met the owner who is a class act! Will be back before I leave Eugene.

They discriminate!! Security guards are unsafe! Used to be a cool place in 2022 but now it’s just drama and bad vibes. They hired a security guard named Becca Hizey who is dangerously mentally unstable. She has BPD which isn’t a problem, THE PROBLEM IS SHE REFUSES MEDICATION AND GOES AROUND THREATENING AND ASSAULTING PEOPLE!! Be careful!!

Made the reservation online via Google and asked for a more secluded booth and was not disappointed. Very cozy booth by the bar. We were there for our anniversary dinner. The host/bartender who's name I forgot but wore an excellent turnip shirt was so nice and very quick to our every need. I had the elderberry elixir cocktail and highly recommend if you like ginger! We ordered the focaccia and deviled eggs for appetizers both of which were lovely. For entrees we ordered the kebab and the pork tenderloin. I was not a fan of the mustard brine and my spouse was kind enough to switch and said it was very good with the pears and had a good acidity.
The kebab itself is very heavy but the hummus, relish and curried naan are delicious!

Will definitely be back for appetizers and cocktails. I'll pass on the main dishes for now.

I came to this restaurant because it was near my hotel, and it was sooooo good! It has a great open floor plan and a very nice vibe, and the food is delicious! I had the cheese tortellini and my son had the bacon Mac and cheese. Both were absolutely delicious. Our server Frances was delightful and if I were not an out of town guest, I would come back next week. If you’re looking for a great date night, business dinner, or night out with friends, don’t walk…RUN to the Davis Restaurant and Bar! (Sorry no pics…I ate it too fast!)

The food was good, service was good.
I was sad that they changed their menu the night before I got there, and they were out of both types of steaks and salmon that night. Also changed the drink menu.

I called Saturday evening to ask about seating a party of 7 with 2 hours notice. The very pleasant Donna was very accommodating and easy to follow up with. It felt like we had a private dining table given the size of this place. And the service was prompt, delicious and accommodating of last minute allergy concerns. Saving this one for a return trip to Eugene.

They let us in at 1:28am to a completely empty dancefloor -- and ejected us without refund at 1:37an without refund. Not even a dollar per minute.
