I had stopped late morning on a beautiful day while riding my motorcycle across town and noticed the umbrella over a picnic table and nice flowers. Nice place to have a cup of coffee and relax when on a motorcycle ride. That was a stupid thought. I walk up to the window and the girl ignores me for almost 5 min. Then some other guy comes over and just asks cash or card? I say card and he demands my card while saying a price for someone else's order at that instant I tell them both I haven't ordered yet. He had the lack of mental dexterity to understand ,I hadn't ordered anything and starts to question me about that other order. Poor service would be an improvement, people skills are non existent, and no ability to pay attention to their surroundings are just 3 quick observations. I was a loyal customer until that stop, not anymore. I found a cuter place 2 miles down the road where the kids that worked there where attentive and friendly.

Me and coworkers used this location frequently with little incident for several months. However, over the past ~3 months the level of service has dramatically decreased. We constantly have orders being incorrectly made, despite having a handwritten note with our orders clearly written out that we can give the baristas. We could forgive messing an order here or there, but it seems that every time we go at least one out of our four orders is messed up. If this lack of communication between baristas about orders, that a big issue as that's one of the most basic functions the workers need to have- communication orders correctly. It's gotten to the point where orders are messed up to the point of having allergens in them making them undrinkable. When communicating the lack of communication and repeated errors of the orders, the workers did not take the complaint with any seriousness and laughed it off. I am fine with taking things jovially, but it shows a lack of care in the fact that orders have been repeatedly messed up. Its disappointing because we like human bean, being one of the better coffee places in the area, and a local Oregon company, but it is hard to justify continued patronage and we will most likely look elsewhere for coffees. Overall, disappointed.

My husband and I have been going to this place for a while now and it used to be really good. Lately, almost every time I go they mess up my drink. They leave out a syrup request or give me to r completely wrong drink. Every time! I’ve gotten a white mocha a few times, and it tastes like watered down coffee with no flavor at all. It’s so frustrating when you pay money and look forward to something and they can’t deliver. Definitely gonna go to the HB on west 7th from now on.
I am updating my review by one more star because the manager of this location reached out to me and really took the time to listen, and make it right. She not only refunded my incorrect most recent order in full, but she sent me coupons for free drinks. I am really impressed with how she went out of her way to take care of a customer. Will definitely be going back here again. Thank you!

Awful taste of hand brewed espresso. Ordered cuppachino, flat white, mocha and other. All of them tasted bland and like just heated milk. Definitely needs a better barista and ideally roasting and brewing practices. I can't recommend this shop. I made a fool out of myself after recommending it to my friends. None of them liked and felt like stiff stomach after consuming coffee from e'm.

This place seems to always be a hit or miss with drinks. Half of the time my granita tastes like watered down instant coffee. The baristas were more worried about hanging out than making drinks or checking in with the customer. They didn’t even put the signature chocolate covered coffee beans on our drinks. Wack. Go over to the one on West 7th if you want a good human bean experience.
