Exceptional and attentive service! They went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable and enjoyed their food, which was delicious! Great, and very filling, vegetarian options. The whole menu was unique, and both myself and my partner ordered something we probably wouldn't have otherwise, and definitely had never tried.

Villa de la Paz was an excellent dining experience. From the time we walked in the door until we finished eating we found the service excellent and the food delicious! It was refreshing to find a new restaurant that had something for the whole family!

I'm not sure how long Villa de la Paz has been in business, but I wish I had known about it sooner. The food was super tasty and I was happy to find that it's not the same old menu that we tend to find these days at most Mexican restaurants. They do offer things like Tacos, Enchiladas, & Quesadillas, but they also offer other menu items I hadn't seen before. Many dishes include cactus which I found to be really good. Also the tortillas were amazing I'd bet are handmade in the kitchen. There was only one server, but she was super nice. If you are looking for tasty South of the Border delicacies than give this place a try. They also have a small full service bar attached.

This is fresh and homestyle, and you can't get much better! The taquitos and molcajete was great! You know they care about what they do when Maria, who cooked out food, comes out to check on you. You need to eat here!

Villa de La Paz is now under new ownership! If you are local, Mama Mayra's Kitchen has taken over Villa de la Paz and their food is exactly the same. So delicious and authentic. I'm a Mexican, I would know!

As authentic as they come! I had the Molcajete tonight with their homemade tortillas. Absolutely delicious and the flan was perfect! The restaurant is beautiful!!! The bar area is very modern. The service was perfect! We will definitely go back again and again! We are so excited to have this gem in our neighborhood!

The molcajete was divine. So much food!! Presentation perfect. Mayra is the best Mexican cook around. So happy to see her with a proper restaurant. I'm excited to see the expanded menu when they get their feet under them. Easily the best Mexican food in the area, possibly the state. Her food is so fresh and authentic. The taquitos and empanadas were so good. Will be back time and time again. Some new menu items to try different from her taqueria (Mama Mayras). Give this place a try. You won't regret it!

Excellent AUTHENTIC FOOD! I've eaten around at local many many local Mexican restaurants take my word for this is the most authentic I've had you don't even need to go on vacation to get authentic food. Highly recommend for excellent food. Clean atmosphere. Friendly staff.

I have been sadly disappointed by so much Mexican food in this town but this was really excellent food. The guacamole was perfect and fresh and well balanced, the salsa was to die for, the tortillas were super soft and fresh with excellent flavor, the taco party was delicious and the enchilada was absolutely exquisite. I have not had better mexican food in Portland, have rarely had better in the SF Bay Area. In addition to it being totally delicious I feel great and energized which I often don't after eating Mexican so I assume they used decent ingredients. It was outstanding. My only suggestion would be that it could have been a little warmer and maybe a bit more cozy/welcoming aesthetic wise. But I know it's gotta be super expensive to open a restaurant and I assume the decor might evolve as they become more successful and popular. I truly hope this place makes it. If you want good Mexican food Eugene you gotta show up and support.

The best restaurant I've ever been in. Simply put, must go. Resident of Eugene my entire life. Hands down the best on service, portion size and friendliness. Love it here. If I wasn't married, I would be here everyday for my dinner. Muuaaah to the staff.

Tried this place for the first time and was extremely disappointed! There were only 3 other people in the restaurant. Service was slow, they never came back to see if we wanted more chips or to offer more water. We were told the special was 4 cheese enchiladas with a roasted piece of chicken. The enchiladas were nothing more than tortilla with sauce on them and not even a hint of cheese. When we inquired about it we were told they use “Mexican Cheese” which is sprinkled on the top. Not one hint of cheese in the so called cheese enchiladas. They could tell we were displeased when they walked by and we were opening up our enchiladas looking for the cheese. They offered us a taco for free but by that time we were just over it. The poor quality food and lack of service we certainly didn’t want to have to wait any longer. We then had to go up and ring a bell to even get our check and pay. And their so called special for what you got was way over priced at $14.95. Then if you pay with a credit card they swipe it on their phone and when they have you sign it it is in Spanish so you really have no idea what it says or what you are signing. Would not recommend this place and will never go back!
