Inconsistent, ordered a $16 bowl of ramen, it had hardly any taste to it and the portion was very small. Wouldn't order Ramen here again.
Ramen was super bland and a small portion not worth the $16
Ordered the vegetarian ramen, the teriyaki chicken rice dish and the pickles. The ramen was a super small serving and barely had any taste. It all looked kind of grey too. It tasted and looked like times that I have tried and failed to make ramen at home, and why I chose to order out ramen. Pretty bad. The "pickles" were the more of the pickles toppings that went on top the ramen which was a random assortment of quick pickles vegetables i.e random chopped bits of beats, a stupid long green bean, some mushrooms etc. definitely not what you would think of when you order "pickles". The wife order the chicken teriyaki and said she was also disappointed in the serving size for the amount that we paid. Service was weird. When ordering over the phone the guy asked "how fast can you get here?" As opposed to telling me when it would be ready so I just assumed 10-15 minutes. And when picking up they asked if I had paid already..... I should have said yes. Definitely won't be ordering again as they are much better tasting and more affordable alternatives.

So tasty along with the presentation. Service perfect. The seating outside was huge and covered, nice atmosphere! We're coming back!

The chef's have an amazing understanding of the perfect balance of flavours in their food - paired with the skills for preparation and the eye for presentation, Yabai Nikkei is a joy for the senses. One of the best food carts in town, plus reasonably priced considering the quality of their ingredients and the absolutely mouthwatering dishes. You'll be blown away by their larger dishes, but you can't go wrong with the smaller items - even the Onigiri and house pickle plates have had no effort spared. The service is great as well! The outdoor or indoor seating options at Coldfire are also very enjoyable. If I could eat here every night, I would!

The Buta-don was incredible! Some of the best pork belly I’ve ever had. Huge props for the locally-sourced and organic ingredients. Portions rightfully somewhat reflect the higher-quality ingredients, as they should. Support places like this that offer higher quality more nutritious food and often struggle with lower profit margins.

Not worth the price. I ordered a Black Belly Ramen, and the broth was really bland and had no flavour at all. Considering the price (16$+tip), I highly recommend to go somewhere else.

Yabai is one of our favorite food carts in Eugene, their normal seasonally changing menu is great, as well as their specials, are excellent and all the staff is friendly and great, we've followed them when they moved locations and at their current location, Coldfire Brewing, you have access to excellent beers, ciders and non alcoholic options to pair with their dishes.
Dietary restrictions: They have always been receptive and accommodating for our dietary restrictions, beyond the clearly marked key on the menu indicating what is vegetarian, GF or vegan and helped us choose appropriate dishes

The chicken truly did make someone sick. Owner laid off employee with zero notice. You can choose to support a business like this or not. He can flag this review all he wants. Sorry Meiji didn’t work out for you Alex.

Food cart next to brewery. Friend ordered chicken teriyaki and got terrible food poisoning that night. Doesn’t disclose that their tofu sandwich is made with mayo (not vegan). Ramen not good

Kind of pricy for a small bowl of chirasha which should come with variety of sashimi over rice. But it only come with very thin slices of salmon. My son got a black belly ramen, and he couldn't eat it after a few bites because the ramen and soup was too greasy and didn't have much of taste.

Good service, food was bad for the price — didn’t end up eating it. Maybe other menu items are better but the Planet Earth wasn’t the right choice.
