Food was good, I have to say I was expecting traditional clotted cream with the scones but they were just served with whipped cream so that was a little disappointing. Other than that everything else was good and they handled our large group with grace. Thank you for a lovely birthday

I am absolutely and completely in love with Lovejoy! It's the most adorable and beautiful teashop you'll ever see. The wood work is incredible and their decor is aestheticlly pleasing. They have multiple selections of tea and you can order more than one! The Salmon bisque soup is to die for, right after I ate it I was looking up recipes to make my own! There is plenty of space for eating, or even sitting next to a warm fireplace. And don't forget about all the glass things you can buy! They have wonderful kitchen accessories that you can buy and add to your home, from teapots to sugar jars! You will definitely be more than Satisfied with Lovejoy's Restaurant & Tea Room.Edit:All of the above is true, but last summer I went with my cousin and one lady wasn't very welcoming towards us. The lady at the front desk made us feel like we didn't belong there, almost like we couldn't afford it. We had to sit outside which didn't bother us but the fact that they forgot about us did. Finally a nice young man on the waiting staff came and took our order. He apologized and got our tea, so we brushed it off because they seemed pretty busy. But they forgot about us again when we were ready for the check, and then they couldn't find our check. Which I get it, stuff like this happens all the time. But the lady who was trying to help us pay kept snapping at our waiter, and proceeded to snap at my cousin when she was trying to calculate a tip. My cousin got her phone out to use her calculator, and the lady says "it's correct, trust me" and my cousin said "I know, I'm calculating a tip" and as soon as my cousin said that she tried to be all buddy buddy with us. Everyone else was very welcoming and accommodating.

What a fun place! Drove by on a Tuesday and realized that their tearoom was open even though the restaurant was closed. Had a lovely pot of the queen's tea, along with a scone and petit four. Delicious treats, accompanied by tasty cream and jam. Definitely plan to return - maybe even tomorrow. It was that good!

The staff were kind and helpful. The food was delicious and plenty of it. It was a beautiful cozy place to enjoy tea on a drizzly fall morning.

I would move to Florence for the weather and for this tea shop alone. I'm in SoCAL and I SO wish I was closer to Lovejoy's. I would visit here weekly if I could. The food is absolutely amazing, my boyfriend is English so l've tried many English faves and Lovejoy's is top notch. The sticky toffee pudding is to die for, better than the sticky toffee pudding I had at Gordon Ramsay's Hell's Kitchen in Vegas! Their potato salad is the BEST potato salad I've never had in my life. I have been craving both since I visited recently. On top of it the tea was amazing, the atmosphere is cute, and the workers are super friendly. Please Lovejoy's move to SoCAL so I can have that sticky toffee pudding and potato salad on a regular basis!

Decent quality tea, excellent chowder, friendly service. The sandwiches were on the scant side. Scones were more like the texture of biscuits. Raspberry jam would be preferable to strawberry. But a pleasurable experience & lovely gift shop.
