This place is a great choice for excellent chowder, garlic bread, maybe a beer. The folks inside were nice, service was quick and prices reasonable. Great choice for a quick lunch.

Fantastic chowder & a great view! An awesome lunch spot on the way up the coast.

Suppose to be open…but was closed when we got there. Sign said went crabbing.

The Chowder had great taste, mostly potatoes though, minimal crab with the cups that was bought in our group. They were out of garlic bread (30 mins after opening). Neither one of the dudes working there looked like they enjoy being there, the one at the register has zero customer service skills. My kids enjoyed watching the jellyfish from the dock. Only a few spots to eat there, so plan to ask for it to go. Might try it again next time we're in town, hopefully there will be more crab in the chowder. 🦀

We were passing through Florence and were looking for a good seafood place - Novelli’s did not disappoint! They were out of fresh crab but their crab chowder was hands down the best chowder we have ever had! Smoked salmon was also fantastic! Do not pass up on this place!

Only 4 stars because line was out the door!!! I was short on time and had to pass. Last time I was there was really good. Its worth the wait! Beautiful location overlooking Siuislaw river.

It's literally a shack! On the dock in Florence. They have a limited menu but their crab chowder is very good and the crab (I didn't have but friends did) is fresh and so good.

Crab chowder and Mom's garlic bread- no personality, no customer service, no crab. Good chowder though. Dip your bread. Not worth the price or the wait. Especially not when the service is as unpersonable as possible. Seriously, your life isn't that bad. Unless it is, then sorry, but you shouldn't be dealing with customers.

Best chowder I've ever had. Move over clams, crab takes the gold. Went back twice! Had to buy some to-go for the freezer. Still just as good days later! Pay attention to the days they are open so you don't miss out.

SO GOOD! We stopped here on a whim before renting ATVs on the dunes. Very good crab, and do not pass up the chowder or bread either. Cool spot to eat at picnic tables- we saw several seals and lots of jellyfish from right there while eating lunch.
