Novelli's Crab and Seafood

The restaurant is a small hole in the wall shack on the docks, we tried the crab chowder and garlic bread and it was amazing. The chowder had great flavor and the garlic bread was delicious. There is no indoor seating but there are outdoor tables on the dock with beautiful views of the river. I would definitely recommend

It's a legit crab shack, like those of Maine. Brought back nice memories, only sad when we went (Beg of July) there wasn't any crab available mid day. Not sure why, I'm no seafood expert or whatnot but the chowder was certainly amazing!

If you like crab, this is the place to go! Finding a spot to sit can be tricky on a nice day, so you may need to get it to go, but it's worth it!

Always a go to if you're in Florence! Be sure to check their Facebook page to ensure they are open though. I have seen lots of harbors seals while eating her which is a treat!

Great food, but the service reminded me of the soup Nazi on Seinfeld.

This is a great place to have some fresh crab in a very casual spot. You can get crab and or chowder for take away or eat at one of the benches.
To get there you walk into the boat docks, there is another restaurant in the same area so don't mix them up

Just passing by this gem and OMG the best crab chowder my husband and I have ever had. The garlic bread I can’t even describe but it’s an absolute must get! EXTREMELY KID FRIENDLY. Owner was nice and the guy that helped us was so incredibly kind to our kids and nephews! He pulled out some of the crabs to hold and touch. Our kids were captivated! Amazing service great food overall awesome experience.

These guys are the nicest people all smiles and great customer service ! And holy toledo the crab chowder is so fresh and delicious! You can tell it’s the freshest you can get! Thank for being so friendly guys! We will be back!

amazing food and scenery

We ordered crab chowder and Mom's Recipe Garlic bread. DJ was kind, open, and honest; the garlic bread was the best ever. We ate our chowder on the dock picnic tables and we we're joined by a seal and a couple of ravens. Thankfully, the wildlife was polite. I highly recommend the chowder and garlic bread. The ambiance of eating chowder on the water was incomparable.

Ummm, not sure I would need to return. Maybe only to try the smoked salmon which they were out of that day. I was disappointed with the mostly potatoes crab chowder, it had a hint of crab, but if it were called potato soup it might be more accurate. The gentleman that helped me seemed grumpy, I felt like I was inconveniencing him when he took and set my order. I think I had higher expectations of a place that had been visited by Triple D.

Parking: We were there during the week. It does get busy during high season/weekends and parking can be difficult.

This place has won awards for the quality of food they provide. My personal favorite is the crab chowder bread bowl absolutely a must try if you like crab. The best chowder on the west coast!!!!!

Grabbed some crab chowder and Mom's garlic bread which was amazing! But super concerned about their coolers being down so no fresh crabs... Hoping they get some help to keep their legacy going.
