I have been here 4 times and was very pleased 3 of those 4 times. The other time, the food just tasted bland to me and seemed overpriced. It must have been an off day. But most of the time, the food is superb (although I wish the portions were bigger). This restaurant is a bit on the expensive side, but the food is rich, creamy, and usually unforgettable. I strongly recommend the crab encrusted halibut, the clam chowder, and the seafood pasta with alfredo. If you have other people in your party, make a reservation. It is usually packed. It boasts the 2nd best clam chowder I have ever had on the Oregon Coast. (The best was in Gold Beach.)
Ideally you should have a reservation, but we got a table for four inside on last Friday and only waited 20 minutes at 7pm. The Cajun halibut sandwich was really good. The crab stuffed mushrooms were also amazing. Prices were fairly reasonable.

Arrived at 8:30 (they close at 9) and the hostess said they didn't have seats available because they had more reservations coming. In Florence on a Tuesday night. Unlikely.

Oh my gosh, if you go to the Newport Historical District, you need to make reservations at the Waterfront Depot Restaurant! They have limited hours and reservations well in advance are recommended. The food and service is awesome, and the views are breathtaking! There is a small inside seating area with a bar, and three outdoor tables with some bar seating. All have harbor views! The clam chowder we had was the best of 7 we have tried so far on Oregon Coast!

It was busy the whole time we were there, but our service was great despite that! Everything we ordered was delicious and the view from the outdoor seating area is lovely. Glad we stopped. Would definitely recommend a reservation, though.

Only had one night in Florence, and decided to try this place. It was packed and I did not have a reservation, but chose to sit at the outdoor bar area overlooking the water. Wow, what a view! Best seat in the house IMHO. The fish and chips was the best I have ever had! My server Zoey was prompt, friendly, and suggested an IPA on tap I might like. Best service, venue, and food. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

We were glad to be seated, a party of 5, when we arrived as they opened, at 3 PM. Service was immpecable. My cousin had the clam linguini and she said it was heaven. My sis-in-law had a burger with swiss cheese, that she positively recommended. My husband and i had the special that night, a parrmesan encrusted Halibut with a side salad and mashed yukon potatoes. It was all delicious, but I was a little underwhelmed by my Halibut. I think it was a tad overcooked, and the parmesan took away from the flavor of the halibut. None-the-less, we will go again at our next opportunity.

Loved this place. Flew up from Ca., to Eugene took rental up the coast, staying in Depoe Bay for 3 nights. I did my research and found out the route to Florence was a bit longer than suggested route but allowed us to enjoy more coastal driving. Found this place on-line and was not disappointed at all. Not many places have Chimmichuri steaks so I was stoked. Views are spectacular and awesome staff. Highly recommend this to anyone

An incredible dinning experience. While very busy, Christina made a great effort to make my wife feel special for her birthday with an excellent table. Meg’s personality made service fun and easy, her recommendations were a success. Food was top notch, everything came out timely and delicious. We were very grateful for their hospitality.

My husband and I were looking for somewhere romantic to have dinner during our honeymoon. This place wasn't it. It's super loud inside and the tables are really close to each other. It was busy, so we didn't really get a good table or view. The food was amazing and filling, but our server was kind of rude. She kept talking to me in this annoying tone like I was a child. She made a face when we didn't want dessert. When my husband said excitedly we had wedding cake at home, she didn't congratulate us. It seems like a nice casual place. I imagine outdoor seating is the way to go. I would try to come again, but hopefully not with the same server.
