Drove 45 minutes just to get there and they decided to close 2 hours earlier than their originally listed hours.
We've been getting food here off and on since they opened. Mostly great experience. They're consistently out of chicken. The most recent bad gravy tasted so off from their norm, I don't think we'll be back for a long time. They were out of chicken this last time too, so I subbed sausage, which felt like eating a McRib from McDonald's.

Used to be my go to place in Forrest Grove for breakfast. Have not been here in months and the food and service have noticeably changed. The farmers hash had almost no vegetables. My biscuit was dry compared to last time. Hopefully a blib but we will

Silverware was dirty, table wasn't properly cleaned. They didn't have enough sausage to make my order and was only informed after paying. The bacon they substituted was almost burnt. I would highly recommend avoiding this food option around Forest Grove.

They take special care and pride with the food they service you! I feel like I am going to grandma’s house for a chat over hot cocoa! I had the delicious strawberry shortcake biscuit, hot chocolate with farm fresh eggs and sausage! It was made with love and butter! My two favorite things! The restaurant is an old bank. It still has the vault door with the locking mechanism in it! As a STEAM educator, the conversation at the counter and antique pieces made my brain fascinated! I can’t wait to come back for more!

Didn’t feel like this place lived up to its namesake. The drop biscuit served with their classic biscuit and gravy was a bit hard, cold and crumbly. Meanwhile, the gravy was dark and fragrant which was nice but the meat chewy. It also took 20min to be served at the counter for the simplicity of this dish. And the presentation was also not ideal. Service was bland and place lacked pizzaz. No condiments were offered such as hot sauce, butter and jam. I was left wanting and that’s not ideal for a biscuit restaurant.

Stopped in on the way back to Washington, service was taking a while but I'm more understanding with short staff, Sunday service, etc. Got my order and was disappointed with the burnt chicken. Just looked and tasted overdone so I'm surprised they served it. The gravy also really turned my stomach over. Both my fiancé and I agreed the gravy was off, just couldn't figure out why. Overall, I wouldn't recommend. Maybe this place on a different day could be better though.

Food was great. Staff were very nice. Restroom was upstairs and inaccessible for my husband AND recently painted stair rail paint came off on my palm a bit. No warning.

A fun weekend breakfast! Set in an old bank, this restaurant has lots of atmosphere. Unfortunately the biscuits were not hot. Otherwise everything was tasty.

Came here on a Saturday at 11:00, only take out no dine in because “we are out of a lot of stuff and we are understaffed.” Don’t waste your time. Also they were closing two hours early. I guess they aren’t really interested in running a business.

This used to be a great place to go to but the last three times we've gone hasn't been worth the trip. We're a 35/40 min drive out. The last three times we've driven all the way out there to be told they're out of bananas for the chunky monkey French toast (which WAS my favorite dish). How do you run out of bananas? Last time they were out of the biscuit used for the shortcake. Today they were out of the cream cheese for the shortcake so you couldn't order the dish. The table they sent us to was filthy from the last guests who had a child. The child seat was still at the table full of food and there was all sorts of food under the table so you couldn't sit down. It was ridiculous. It will be a while before we decide to head out that far again. Just not worth it.

I really wanted to love this place and there are many things to like but ultimately the food just isn’t good enough. The service was pleasant, the ambiance is cute and comfortable and the star of the menu - the cheddar herb biscuit- is great! The rest of our food was not good. My farmers hash meal was undercooked. The sweet potatoes and brussel sprouts were crunchy and not by my liking. The idea is the dish was great but the execution was poor. My advice, grab a biscuit to go.
Kid-friendliness: They have a kid menu with several options

My partner and I have been coming here since this place opened, and like several other reviews have mentioned, there has been a severe decline in quality. When we first ate here, my partner remarked that “this is how fried chicken should be done.” Today, it was overdone, tougher to chew than jerky, and unseasoned. The side potatoes were not seasoned in the least (theme of the meal) and were completely underdone, we didn’t eat any of them aside from the first we tasted. The gravy was, again, completely unseasoned, but edible with enough table salt added. They were also out of their most popular biscuit, the cheddar herb, and several other items that are standard on their menu. Don’t do what we did and replace that biscuit with a sweet one. Either come back a different day or change what you order. They’re far too sweet to use in a savory dish even if you enjoy sweet and savory together. To top it off, we paid $30something for two meals and ate less than half of what we got.We really loved this place once upon a time. We ate here the day we got engaged, and loved it. We came today because we’re going places we loved one last time before we move, so needless to say this was a disappointing experience. Now, we would not recommend it at all. The prices are simply too high for the quality of food being served.

We ordered our food and were seated upstairs. It was 9am and cool outside but very hot upstairs. My food came up first and I mentioned to the server that I ordered an extra egg but it didn’t look like it was there. His response was “it should be there” and he walked away. We waited for my daughter’s food and I was going to ask again for my egg when that was delivered. 10 minutes went by and the server came up to do something and I let him know again that I didn’t receive my extra egg and we are still waiting for my daughters food. He said he’d bring them both up shortly. Another 10 minutes went by before he delivered her French Toast. We waited for him to bring the egg so she could request syrup, but we never saw him again. The line was way too long to get back in line for a refund for the egg they never gave me. He was very rude and inattentive. Terrible customer service. Terrible table service. We will not be going back.

Though pricey when compared to serving size the quality does make it a bit more easy to accept. The food is very, very good, but don’t expect southern style, these are very well made and quite tasty drop biscuits made from scratch. So why four stars? It has to go to price and service. To be clear, the chef is a great person who really believes in in keeping you happy her staff was meh. One was very busy playing on her phone upstairs where the chef couldn’t see and the other was very distracted and flustered though in her defense she may have been new.
