My alltime favorite coffeeshop. I've been coming here for decades (albeit I'm not drinking off the kids menu anymore), and the quality and cost continues to be great. I recommend it to anyone who will listen. A great community gathering space with local art, friendly staff, and the encouragement to relax and stay a while. Truly lovely London Fogs, Matchas, Italian Sodas, and pastries.

Slow service. They don’t know what a flat white is. How an espresso shop doesn’t know what a flat white is, is a bit beyond me. Lady kept messing up the drinks and remaking them, seems like the cashier and the barista don’t communicate well between each other.

There’s something about BJs Coffee Co in Forest Grove that makes you want to slow down and stay awhile. From the moment you step inside, you feel it, soft natural light pouring in through large windows, warm tones, vintage décor that doesn’t feel forced, and an open layout that somehow makes the place feel both cozy and expansive. It’s rare to find a coffee shop where it feels like time slows down. BJs has that effect. They’ve kept part of their history intact too. Near the entrance, you’ll spot the owner’s very first grinding machine, a reminder that this is more than just a café. It’s a family legacy. They import their beans from farms in South America and grind them in house, which explains why their coffee has such depth and freshness. I ordered a pour over and could immediately tell it was handled with care, not just brewed out of habit. I also tried their grilled cheese sandwich for breakfast, something simple, but done so well it stood out. Crispy on the outside, gooey on the inside, and clearly made fresh, not pulled out of a box and reheated. They have other breakfast options too, but that grilled cheese had me planning a return trip. What I appreciated most was the atmosphere. It’s not just for grab and go. This is a space built for lingering. There are books and board games stacked neatly, people reading or playing quietly, and tables spaced far enough apart that you’re not overhearing everyone’s conversations. It reminded me of the kinds of coffee shops you find in small towns across Europe, unhurried, thoughtful, and real. I’m usually someone who likes to explore different cafés, but BJs made me want to come back the next morning. If you’re in Forest Grove or even passing through this place is worth a stop. Not just for the coffee which is excellent but for the feeling it gives you when you’re there. It’s a place where the little things are done right.

I have been wanting to try the beans for years. Finally I was in the area and bought 2 bags. The young gentleman who rang me up did not share in my excitement about the roasting process orbthe single origin selection (it was not at all busy) and when I asked if I could get a little coffee from the pump, in my own container, he looked at me like I was crazy for even asking. I told him that most roasters would be happy to share a cup of coffee with a 1st time customer after spending $40 on beans. He again just stared at me and shook his head. Not the best experience. The beans better be good.

Tiny breakfast burrito for $10, using what tastes like frozen McDonalds sausage.

Great service and even better coffee. Love their roast and blend!

Vegetarian options: There are several pastries and bagels with cream cheese but there are not a lot of hot options.

Kid-friendliness: Super kid friendly. The tea party menu option is great!
