Was a little surprised about the wait, but it was well worth it. Burgers was hitting that spot. The family had good energy, and I'm I believe their son took our order, and he was a class act as promised got our food at 110pm.Dietary restrictions: Our friend asked for a helal option and they hooked him up with an jalapeño cheeseburger
You DEFINITELY do not want to judge this book by it's cover. ABSOLUTELY RECOMMEND! For over 10 years now I've been on a mission to seek out hot and hidden gem restaurants. This is one of those very satisfying discoveries I come upon once in a great while. Even though a very unassuming appearance on the outside the quality and taste of the burgers here is better than anything I can remember eating anywhere else in the NW. I would go way out of my way to eat here -which I did this time. The Avocado and Kimchi variants seem to be the most popular. Order ahead because they take their time and make everything perfectly- so there will be a wait. Even the fries were outstanding.Parking: Parking is easy and totally not an issue at all...
We used to eat at Five Star burger when it was just a food cart parked in an empty lot in forest grove . We moved to WA four years ago but found ourselves near our old stomping grounds today. We arrived at 11:15 which is 15 minutes after they opened. Same friendly faces greeted us. Nice to see they are a very simple brick and mortar now. Since we didn’t order ahead, something we thought we didn’t need to do as we were there so close to when they opened. Our wait was 40 minutes. Now this may seem like a ridiculous amount of time to some BUT, I assure you the food is worth the wait. AND there is a bit of a work around if you are pressed for time. CALL AHEAD I understand they start answering the phones at 10 AM. Which is why our walk up order took so long , many people had placed an order over the phone and came in to pick up . I counted 12 to 15 orders ahead. Those in the know , know these fresh off the grill burgers on toasted buns with all the fixings are worth it. Comes with yummy extra crispy crinkle fries and many creative toppings like Kimchi. Just as good as we remembered them! If we find ourselves in the are again we are definitely stopping to get another burger.

****FRIENDLY NOTICE*** after conversing with the owners and their son they prefer you call ahead to order. It’s a small family business cranking out amazing burgers so be ready to wait and be patient. They get really busy with orders and if you just show up could end up waiting a long time to get your food. They open at 11am, but take orders as early as 10am. The earlier you go the better because they can sell out of food.Five Stars Family Burger is deserving of its award for one of best burger places in the nation. This place was amazing and the customer service was perfect. It was our first time there and the cashier was extremely helpful. He walk us through the menu, what’s the most popular item (it varies everyday).I ordered the F5-kimchi cheeseburger with an extra patty. The meat was juicy and well seasoned. It mixed wonderfully with the kimchi, and toppings on the burger. You can chose your heat level too, 1-10, I went with level 5. Next time I’ll go spicier. We also got an F8-Bulgogi Cheeseburger. The sweet sauce used in the bulgogi was delicious addition to the burger. It was a good sweet and salty combo. Finally we got the F1-Classic burger. It’s just a basic burger but with one of their flavor-able, well seasoned patty. Every burger comes with fries. I’m not one to brag about fries, BUT lemme tell you they’re crunchy, well salted, and tasty.Parking is limited but there is a lot of street parking. Also, it is located on a busy street so lots of moving cars.

Delicious burger no matter which one you get! The crinkle fries are also so good which I don't think I've ever said about anywhere else lol. The owners are so kind and funny I hope they continue to do
