The atmosphere is the best part about this place. And it stays open late. The service is typical of what you've come to expect from a McMennamins. The food is, as well. But overall, it's a great place to hang out, especially if you live close, like I do.

RJ is superb. Extremely personable, patient, out-of-his-way helpful even with specific requests. Best service staff at McMen's so far!

Great little venue. I know it's busy, especially on a Saturday, but the $21 Blue Cheese burger was dry, cold, tasteless, had two scrawny bits of bacon, and looked like it had been sitting around for a WHILE waiting for some sucker to order it. Fries were also cold and meager.
Very disappointed Mcmenamins... Been a patron since 1990. This was just awful.

McMenamins is never known for good service but we had excellent service for a late dinner and it's super cozy outside!

With the sun out this place felt busy. Lots of seating outside that many were taking advantage of. Unfortunately they had some understaffing with the bar, so at times only one tender to make all the drinks, which caused a bit of a back up. Otherwise a great spot.

Staff was so kind and we got to bring our dog in and have dinner. Very friendly place.

Okay the vibe and ambience is the best part of it! I ate indoors since it was a cold winter day and it felt so cozy from the interior design but also the sound of the crackling fire. It also helped that I felt like I was in the tavern from beauty and the beast. The outdoor does have a lot of fire pits which would have been great.

Their cocktail options are a bit basic but they're of high quality. Service was also great.

No air conditioning in this part of the property. The patio IS Dog Friendly though, so that was nice. Lots of seating, picnic tables and patio tables. Service was a bit slow and our server forgot to put one of our orders in, so had to wait for it. Food was good. Overall, just average type of place.

Always a nice place to go. This time we toured the whole place and grounds finally convinced to do the passport thing and find the hidden locations and prizes.

Had lunch at Pat’s Corner. The food was of poor quality and overpriced. The service was horrible. No checking in with nor refilling drinks for my group as well as another table. Both my group and the other table had to get up and try to find someone to assist. Had to search for a server twice, once for refills and second to get the check. Contacted the manager who was not helpful and did not respond to the second email. No plans to return.

Came in 4 a seasonal beer that they did not have. Settled 4 a ruby which is my go 2 beer. Atmosphere was wonderful. Sat out on the lawn area outside the iron grill. Love the vegetation, the view of the sky, the cool breeze. Was a great way 2 decompress from a day at work.Highly recommend McMenamins 4 a place 2 retreat from the world, even if only 4 awhile

This is specific to Grand Lodge Concerts only: BEWARE!!! EVENT STAFF ARE IMPOSING RULES **NOT** PRINTED ON TICKETS!!! Tickets include detailed restrictions on size of chairs, maximum beach towel size, no outside food/drink, only sealed or empty plastic water bottles etc. I measured everything ahead of time, and followed every rule on the ticket. HOWEVER, on 7/29/23, at the venue, they imposed a new rule—no bags, unless clear and under certain dimensions, that was NOT on the ticket. (There was NO mention of bags on the ticket, at all.) IF that rule was on the ticket, it would be ticket holders responsibility to comply in order to gain admission. BUT IT IS NOT ON THE TICKET, EVEN THOUGH ALL THE OTHER RULES ARE! Both contract security staff and McMenamins staff were not allowed to listen to common sense (even though there were plenty of *metal* water bottles in evidence--something prohibited in the rules printed on the tickets--showing they were allowed to waive some rules, just not that one). I recommend you do NOT attend any concerts at any McMenamins venues until and unless they agree to ONLY enforce the rules that are clearly printed on the tickets. A ticket is a contract after all, and it is against the law for one party to unilaterally change a contract without the consent of the other party.
