If you ever find yourself coming through Garibaldi, OR, check out this little watering hole. Great dive bar vibe, friendly staff. We had beverages and a hot dog with grilled onions, sauerkraut and Dijon mustard that was as expected but really good. We chose the house made macaroni salad for our side. My boyfriend enjoyed the pool table while I enjoyed video poker. Would love to visit again on a karaoke night!

My experience here was horrible. I was going to grab a bite to eat after visiting the shop next door. The second I got out of my vehicle and headed to the shop a lady came out yelling at me to not park in their parking lot. There where atleast 7 open parking spots. My wife was in the vehicle and it was still running. Told the lady it wasn't parked as it was still running and my wife was in the vehicle. Instantly she said to get in and leave!!!!! Or she was calling the cops!!!!!....what kind of place does this to potential customers. They should just put up a sign that says WE DON'T WANT YOUR BUSINESS!!!!! stay far away from this place. I know I will NEVER give them one red cent as far as I am concerned I hope they run everyone off like they did me just so something better can go in it's place maybe something with some hospitality.

The burgers here are soooo good. They have super soft and fresh buns. I wish the fries were different (I don't like the skins) but everything was hot and fresh. I also wish they had outdoor seating but we will definitely be back.

Great place! We stop here every time we travel to the North Coast of Oregon. Perfect lunch stop.

I had a few decent experiences here in the last few years. Last night just solidified the fact I won't be back.

The server was rude and never brought water we requested or ever asked if we wanted more drinks. It took almost ten minutes to just get a beer at the bar.

The real kicker was when a sheriff came in and asked who was parked on the street in the black truck blocking the lane. (It ended up being a regular who was playing a lottery machine) I also drive a black truck. I went outside to check and as I stood up a patron I can assume is a local regular called me stupid for parking on the street. (The lot was full) the sheriff said my truck wasnt the problem and I went back inside. The same lady again gave me attitude.

I had recommended this place to friends and family to get a drink and food after fishing or hanging out at the beach.

Don't waste your time at the ghost hole.

Parked in the lot between the rock shop and the ghost hole at 3 pm on a Sunday (lots of open lots). Intended to peak into the rock shop and then grab a beer with my mom and sister (yay Mother’s Day!). Got out of the car and a lady runs out of ghost hole yelling at us that we couldn’t park there. I told her I’d move the car, but we had been planning to come in. She immediately changed tunes, but how rude. Didn’t visit and don’t plan to. Doing a great job keeping the parking lot and bar empty…But the people at the rock shop were lovely, so definitely stop in there.

Edit to add: this welcome not only dissuaded us from stopping in after first peaking in the rock shop, but as someone who lives in the area, this interaction has really soured me on ever visiting or recommending

Terrible service!! I walk in, the bartender sees me sit down. I sit at the table for 15 minutes waiting to order. Nothing. She is taking great care of the locals. Continually asking what they need. There were only 6 people in the restaurant! It’s not like she was busy. Was more interested in talking to the 2 people at the bar. Avoid this place if you actually want to eat. I finally just got up and left and went across the street to another restaurant.

This is the place to go. The food is awesome and the people are just very down home people. The beer is ice cold and the music is always good. I worked here back in 2006 -2007. and I absolutely loved loved my job. All I know is that there is ALWAYS something fun happening here and you just can't find good food, good atmosphere And just plain good ol fun anywhere else.

Didn't get a chance to sample any of their food. Great atmosphere and they have a stage in the back patio for concerts in the summer time. Cocktails, food, full lottery and a couple t vs.

This is a great place to stop to get a bite to eat. The macaroni and cheese is some of the best I've ever had and the meatball sandwich has to be in the top five.

I have only tried the jalapeno poppers, and they were quite good, I am not sure if they came from a frozen box, but if so, it is from a high-quality source, and if they are homemade, that would be believable. I just wouldn't expect that from a bar.
Everything there is fairly expensive but not astronomically pricey. I had a handful of shots over the evening, and the poppers and spent just under fifty before tip.
But the big selling point is that the service is excellent and the atmosphere is somehow even better! The bartenders are festive (this is the Halloween season, and they dressed in a subdued spookiness-not costumes, but low-key goth for the most part) and the decorations are outstanding. They went all-out for Halloween, and have a costume contest coming up ON Halloween Night! Very cool!
One of the bartenders did the decorations inside and on their expansive back patio, a great place to hang.
Their Friday and Saturday karaoke is excellent as well; the DJ, Ann, always puts the newcomers up next or very soon, to make sure they have a chance to get in at least one song. I dig that a lot. She has a wide range of music available, and the whole bar cheers and claps for each performance, whether they are really good, like many were, or fairly flat, like my singing is. It makes it so easy to get up and belt out a tune, knowing that there's only honest encouragement, and not judgement to be found.
I recommend it highly!

Sad note:
Due to some sort of state or federal regulations, they were not able to let me share the gelatos that I brought for the occasion; I'm from a small town where such things didn't exist-gelato, or regulations, and it has a more potluck mentality, and it was kind of disappointing to not be able to share. I know there's rules, but the worst part is that there's no dessert selection on their menu, so there is nothing to have in its places. C'est la vie, I suppose, but minus a star from the food for no dessert menu.

We come in here 4 or 5 times a year. Solid service, friendly atmosphere including the regulars, drinks are legit including the nightly specials. There's a reason this place always does a decent evening business, they do a good job as a local bar. So thankful they are here.
