I used to love coming to this black rock as a part of my morning routine, but unfortunately, the last few times I’ve gone the service has been beyond slow. I love the upbeat and casual nature of the place but when I have to wait for my drink, so the baristas inside can tell their story about who they hooked up with the night before or who came through the line earlier that morning that they don’t like. I don’t really personally wanna hear those details when I want my morning coffee. Gonna have to find a new spot :(

I ordered online as I always do, but the employees at this location will tell you that none of them can open the front window, THEY HAVEN'T HIRED A SINGLE PERSON THAT IS ABLE TO OPEN A SLIDING WINDOW?!?!?! i'm sorry but thats just a little far fetched. so you have to wait in line regardless of if you order ahead or not.
That being said, in most locations when the line is spilling out of the parking lot they will send a worker outside to take orders and get the lines moving. This location does not do this.
After ordering online and waiting a half an hr in line i got my coffee. It had none of the flavors i ordered in it. It literally tasted like coffee and oatmilk. no flavor. they make you pay a lot for any flavor you want but because i didnt feel like waiting another half hour for them to remake it. I took the L, and I will just go to a different location from now own.
Maybe have at least one person on shift that is able to open the window OR one that is willing to take orders outside to quicken the lines. literally either one of those would make the lines move so much faster here. worst customer experience i've had in a very long time, a big bummer first thing in the morning.

Closed a lane forcing me to turn around a big trailer in a very hard spot. Their excuse was they only have one person. Covid is over time to stop letting Millenials run the show. The ignorance has to stop.

Service is always fantastic here and this is more of a complaint regarding management or the company as a whole. They do NOT get the most out of their coffee, it is hit or miss if you're going to get a half decent shot or a completely under/over extracted shot. I'm not looking for ultra-dialed in espresso at a drive through but if they trained their baristas a little better on how to get a good shot it would make for a much more consistent experience for customers and not leave baristas out there to pass out undrinkable coffee, especially at the price.

I went in at around 6:30am and noticed one of the lanes were empty while there were multiple cars in the other, because there were no signs stating that the lane was closed I pulled into the empty lane to be told that the lane was closed because there was only 1 barista on duty, I then decided to take my buisness elsewhere to a redleaf coffee where the batista there informed me that she was a former Black Rock employee and that she was supposed to keep both lanes open even if she was alone, if you can't keep both lanes open there should be clear signs stating that the lane is not in operation or hire more staff.

I went in earlier this same day and was able to get my $4 first fuel friday with no foam whip as its disgusting in my opinion, I went back to get another $4 fuel and was told rudely by the young girl her manager JENNY told her they could no longer do it, why was I asked earlier in the day if I wanted it without but then told the second time I had to pay full price if I got no foam whip which would have been cheaper for company. Sounds like there manager needs to have consistency and better customer service. Not to mention the girl working did not take my phone number so I didnt even get my rewards point. I will drive a bit further and take my buisness to the milwaukie location as there baristas are so much nicer. Customer service goes a long way.
