Great pizza and some good beer
well since we are staying in one of the rooms upstairs from the restaurant we decided to give it a try as the smell was fantastic! great decision, pizza was outstanding! Will definitely eat here again!
absolutely love this place. we've been fans since way back when when they started with the brick pizza oven that was mounted on a frame and pulled and taken to venues. your pizza is fresh. tastes delicious, thin crust. always a perfect bite and no matter what they put on it, it is the BEST THANG you've had that day or that week. I go back east a lot and have New York Pizza a lot .We never ate pizza in all the years we lived in California & Oregon because it was simply not edible....read full review

Groundling Pizza Co. is a classic oven fired pizza spot with a tasty crust, offering some of the best pizza around Gold Beach and Brookings. The pizza is fresh made in a real wood oven from Italy, with a thin crust that has the perfect amount of crisp. Toppings are interesting and delicious, with a pepperoni pizza being a favorite, along with a s’mores calzone that is unbelievably good. For gluten free guests, the pizza is the best American made pizza ever had. The ranch is a must-try, and the Gelato is absolutely to die for, with flavors like Tahitian Vanilla, Pistachio, and Olive Oil and Myrtle Leaves. The restaurant is in a fun dive bar with good drinks, cheap beer from local craft breweries, and a great atmosphere to hang out. There is an outdoor space that is pet friendly and offers views of seals playing, plus a gorgeous location looking over the river. The staff are all friendly, welcoming, nice, and attentive, with a bartender who is an expert with craft cocktails. They do takeout, making it a great option to pick up and enjoy at a nearby beach. If busy, the wait is well worth it.
