The Glacier House

Stopped at this place as a respite from the rainy weather. What a pleasant surprise! The food and brews were delicious and the service was outstanding! Not only that, but after we left the restaurant we hiked up to timber line trail and saw snow, which for us Florida people was a special treat.

Open signs on. 11:09 and they are not open. Let us sit and look at menus. But when we went to order they are not open yet. ?? I’m confused. It is government camp expectation are low to begin with.

Stopped in for a beer and a water bottle refill. Awesome service and good beer selection.

Delicious bbq jackfruit sandwich and the special was a vegan coconut curry! So good. Daughter had an impossible burger that was good too

Been here a few times and the food is amazing. Plenty of vegetarian options. Friendly staff.

Ordered the mushroom burger, best burger ever had in my life. I live in California but I can totally see myself flying to Mt Hood just for this burger…

Very bad experience. The food came very slow. I asked for hot water and the waitress totally forgot about it. Waited 20 min before the meal came. Ordered potato croquettes, weird taste and no meat at all. The tomato sauce is very sour and does not go with the potato.

Do NOT recommend! They used to have the best Jagerschnitzel here, so we went hoping for a nice dinner. The schnitzel was a quarter the size it used to be and breading was gummy, and mushroom sauce is TERRIBLE! The spatzle was broken up (my husband asked if that was hominy?) and they served a tiny portion of the red cabbage. Beyond the food, the service was horrible and we were rushed to order within minutes of sitting down at the table (arrived at 8 PM on Saturday night, they close at 9 PM) Server brought the check when we were half through our dinner and stood there until we finished the credit card slip. Will not be back, very disappointed.

The business is very cute, and a lot of cool art from local artists. The servers were super kind and wonderful. Daphne helped us and was so lovely! The food was pretty fair overall. I would not come back for the food. I felt like it was overpriced and pretty plain. At one point we did send back a plate of food for being very cold and they remade it but it came back very rare. Pretty disappointed but our service was great.

We had a large group here for Christmas Eve dinner and our server, Daphnie, was INCREDIBLE. She truly kept the place going after there were some complications in the kitchen. We would not have had such a wonderful experience if it weren’t for her. She was so accommodating and really made sure we were taken care of.
