Lovely place overlooking the river. GENEROUS portions, tasty. Service ran slow but they were busy.

Had some very good food outside on the deck overlooking the river. Great menu and beverage choices and great service as well.

The service was a little slow and didn't get the order right, but when confronted about that. They took some money off of the bill. The char broiled ribeye dinner was delicious!!

I went there with my girlfriends when it changed over to Cartwright's The food was good but I will say I do miss the tap rock menu it had much more to choose from.

I went alone, practically ignored. Had to flag someone down just to get seated. Waited over 5 minutes just for a menu and water. Ordered a chicken fried steak that was undercooked, rare (didn’t even get to medium rare), was still red and chewy. I won’t be going back any time soon.

Got the salmon dish, comes with lump crab butter on top and orzo and veggies. This dish was delicious. I finished my plate. Atmosphere is beautiful as it sits right on the river. I was sat quickly and my waiter was friendly and prompt.

First time here. We arrived at 6:30 and dining rooms were filled with a tour bus group. While we did get a table, the room was filled and the volume of noise was uncomfortable. The room itself is pleasant, high wooden beams and fireplace is reminiscent of a mountain lodge. But, the acoustics are poor. The server was attentive and the food was good. The portions are on the small side. We had the beef sandwich and mahi mahi tacos and enjoyed both. The side of potato salad needed seasoning and less acid. We are willing to go back again and try the burger. They look amazing.

The managers OWN THIS review. I tour Oregon regularly. Nobody charges an $8 draft beer. Apparently it’s everything but Coors light at $8. Your view is mediocre. Your building looks cool …. From the outside. Inside it’s an 5/10- Every $8 beer is losing you and your staff future sales. True insanity. You can’t teach stupidity - it’s a choice.

I was disappointed in my meal for the price. I ordered sirloin steak with garlic potatoes. The potatoes came in round slices, with different consistencies. Some were overcooked and others could have been cooked more. The steak - which I ordered medium rare - was dry and in places charred so much that I did not eat it. There was also a long wait time - over 20 minutes to just get the check.

That being said, I was there with a large party. The chicken tenders are hand breaded and AMAZING, so was their pasta with steak bites, and their gluten free chocolate tort. Sad that I didn't order the right dish - other people at my table were very happy with theirs.

Visiting Grants Pass and looking for a breakfast restaurant I drove by Taprock and their sign said OPEN for breakfast. So I went around the block and pulled in for a wonderful breakfast served by friendly professional staff in a nice dining room with a river view. The breakfast menu was limited but I chose a standard eggs Benedict with potatoes and it was delicious and made with tasty ham steak. The coffee was a very good dark roast. The prices were very reasonable. I enjoyed my breakfast and will eat here again maybe lunch or dinner. They had a good wine list and full bar service.

Lived in gp all my life, I’ve never been a big fan of Tap rock but they’ve definitely gotten tastier over time! Love the drinks and food 😇
